I understand, however the eye test for Frazier seems to be that he will come around. I have way more confidence in Frazier coming around than I do with Winker. I just don't like Winker's approach at the plate.

I believe if they break to 2B it would be a CS.D-train wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 6:33 pmWas Julio picked off diving back to first or was there a throw to first and he got caught at second. Maybe that's the difference. I though all instances of guys getting thrown out without batted balls were CSs though.
Thats the problem, because most of the pickoffs theyre leaning or off a bit too far because they want to steal, but its not counted, so Julio, for example, is still 9/9 in SB

Totally agree with you. And even more totally surprised that isn't the case.bpj wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 6:36 pmI believe if they break to 2B it would be a CS.

Classic Toro hit with exit velo that wouldn't get a speeding ticket on the Freeway but I will take it.

Winker is really slow for a skinny guy but luckily you only have to be just fast enough. Nice hitting by Toro there!

I think a batting order worth trying right now:
1.Julio
2 Crawford
3.France
4.Winker
5.Catcher
6-9: Don't care
Julio grounded out right as I wrote this, but I think he's getting a little better and better, and an old-fashioned speedy leadoff guy could work out.
Winker, I think, is finally waking up, so I would not move him down.
Edit... I suppose Saurez at 5, catcher at 6, maybe Frazier at 9 for the classic 9/1 speed combo.

Hoping Gilbert and Co can continue pitching well for us. We need to leave Florida with a win and head to Houston on a happy flight.

Gilberts era is so low it only goes down by 1 point per out. Just went from .36 to .35. Oh wow, still .35 after that 2nd out. LOL
