Players with 30 HR by June 21st.
Griffey 1994 - 30
McGwire 1998 - 33
Sosa 1998 - 30
Bonds 2001 - 38
Gonzalez 2001 - 31
Raleigh 2025 - 30

So basically 4 Juicers and 2 Mariners.
yeah, its interesting the names that aren't on there, no babe ruth, roger marris or mickey mantle. Cal is the fastest switch hitter to 30

So the question is "do you think Cal will hit 40 home runs this season?".

No.
this isn't aging well

I predict Cal will have a 25 game stretch without a HR this season.
That's the comment that probably won't age well.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and by the beginning of the 2028 season, somebody will pull this comment up. Still, I don't have a lot of faith in this organization, so..... I predict that before the 2028 season, Cal will be traded for three or four "prospects." One will actually make it to the majors and be the second coming of Jared Kelenic. Because, well, Mariners.

It is due to baseball starting the season later. In 1927, the year Babe hit 60, June 21 was the Yankees 58th game. Today is the M's 76th. In 1956, the Mick had played in only 60 games. Not taking anything away from Cal, but perhaps one should consider the number of games when matching up throughout baseball history.
