Amazing finish!
Too bad about Donovan. Not much info about what happened.

At least Lazaro Montes is looking like lefty Aaron Judge.
They need to spend all their available payroll on 1 or 2 great bats then let Anderson, Sloan, and Montes come play for a winner.
Stars and scrubs (cheap guys) baby.

Only the 7th time in history that someone has hit a lead off HR and a walkoff HR in same game, although Pete C Armstrong actually did it earlier this week.
Quite remarkable.

Bastards are starting to make me believe...thankfully just have to look back a week to 22-0 to keep my hopes in check

Probably the only time where the player also robbed a homerun in the same game. But, HR robbery is not an official stat.mostonmike wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2026 4:59 amOnly the 7th time in history that someone has hit a lead off HR and a walkoff HR in same game, although Pete C Armstrong actually did it earlier this week.

Also, I think I read PCA was the only other one on the list that hit the first pitch out. So, first pitch and last pitch.

Yeah, I have some belief. They are in the midst of some really tough games and playing pretty good. So, it stands to reason when they get to September and Brash comes back that they could finish on a serious run.
Cal seems to be getting some better swings on the ball, too, which could be a huge factor.
