I haven't been interested in baseball in several years. It was the Mariner teams in the mid-teens that did it to me...just bad baseball.
But I always went to ST.

Since we (as a family) didn't watch baseball any longer we got rid of our cable package and went to HULU for the last few years, and they don't show much baseball (except for ESPN).

Now with all your excitement, I am trying to figure out how to watch it again. I won't be into all the numbers and minutia that you all seem to be, but want to watch it again.

Jesus I feel like I need to write a formal letter of apology to JD. He did exactly what he said he was going to do. Got Impact bats to play on the left side of the field (one is LH) and didn't have to give up prospects to do it. And we are still only about $100M in payroll.

Of course, I'm a prospect hugger and liked/loved Brandon Williamson, but I was dying to get rid of Fraley and Dunn...and you must give to get... I love this trade, gives us a left hand impact bat and a good defensive infielder with a strong power history.... Plus these are two stellar individuals, guys that the fans will fall in love with and will really fit in with this young exciting club. Well done Dipoto...Let's get these guys in here and start working toward the playoffs...

I find this a little concerning

Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic reports (on Twitter) that the deal also contains a player to be named later. He adds that Cincinnati believes that still-unknown player “enhances” the quality of their return.

It sounds a little ominous: Once you consider they already got Williamson who should be cracking the top 100, and Dunn a former top 100 coming off a 3.75 ERA in 2021 and a 3.92 ERA spread across his MLB career. Fraley.

I hope it is not anything out of my top 7 or so.

Not to be a Debbie Downer here.....but Winker is the LH version of Kyle Lewis......he just can't stay healthy. Plus hitting in Cincy is like Colorado East.....In his career, away from Cincy, he has an OPS+ of 90. We gave up one if the best LHS in the minors in Williamson for this package.

He had a .922 OPS on the road this season. Almost 100 points higher than our best hitter. He is healthy now and this is his year to be healthy all season. He has only had one serious injury and it was way back in 2018. Kyle Lewis had Joe Namath's Knees.
