The Mariners Facebook post thanking Dee Gordon for his time here had the same comments. Just idiotic on so many levelsDavidGee24 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 4:46 amI just read through that whole Twitter thread. I too fell like I'm getting punked. Imagine a fan of ANY other team reading that, just embarrassing. Those same people whi thought Gordon was a good player probably say things like "home base" and "points".

Is that why all the negative tweets were at the bottom? Because the M's hid them?IStillLoveTheMs wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 9:11 pmYou can't delete Tweets (only Twitter admins can if the Tweet is flagged)... only hide them, but people can still click on them LOL... people are actually this stupid.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 9:03 pmI wonder how many people tweeted "Good riddance" in reply and either couldn't or got their comment booted. No way in hell did every fan responding say something like that...right?

The Toronto Blue Jays have designated leftfielder Derek Fisher for assignment:

Fisher remains a better option than José Marmolejos to fill the hole in left field until the arrivals of the touted prospects.

Are you sure? BR projects a higher OPS for Marm.
Either way it reminds me of looking at the low temps for Boston and Post Falls ID tonight. 5 degrees in Post Falls and 10 degrees here. So TWICE as "WARM" here. I would expect the difference between Marm and Fisher to be equally impactful.

If that doesn't tell you that the Mariners are more concerned about competing in 2022 than 2021, I don't know what will.Petert wrote: ↑Fri Feb 12, 2021 1:23 amWe did something....for 2022 ?

I’m actually curious to see the financials, since it’s a two year retainer for one year’s actual field performance.
