Rangers might need a SP with Scherzer out until June or July.

I still can't get past SS's. We are trying to play the cards we were dealt. That doesn't seem like a higher payroll than last season.
Thought he was complaining about his players being traded. As he says it's an incomplete team now. But how can we complain about payroll being slashed before knowing what the final payroll is. Asi understand it, Dipoto didn't make those trades to slash payroll, he did it to get flexibility in adding additional players. Payroll aside, is there a player there we are complaining about being traded?
I doubt they would have traded Geno or JK if they didn't have to. I think payroll will be right at 2023 or maybe a few million higher.

FWIW In 2021 and 2022 Jarren Duran posted OPS+ of 53 and 78 while Jarred Kelenic posted OPS+ of 72 and 55.

Duran rebounded with an OPS+ of 121 and bWAR of 2.1 in 2023 while Kelenic rebounded with an OPS+ of 109 and bWAR of 2.0.

Duran is three years older than Kelenic but their careers have some parallels.

I think this is right. They're trying to hold the line.

He got off to a scorching start too and cooled off but not a complete tank job like JK.
