Terms of Wilson getting handed the managing job, you might as well blame Lou. He was Lou's protégé. That was the first thing Lou had them do, trade for Wilson when Lou got the managing job. He's always supported Wilson as a future manager. And Wilson claims to model his approach after Lou.

They're obviously trying to not call him up too early.
I shouldn't say surprised, they didn't want to appear desperate. But whats the big deal. They give Donovan a break at 3rd, maybe give the team a spark. They return Emerson to the minors once Robles is healthy if they want. I know it's not how it's done. There has to be this big deal about his promotion. Give me a break, he's not ready now but six weeks from now he will be. Another fifty at bats and that does it. If they don't pick the proper point he's going to be ruined. It's trickier than baking a soufflé
