With the addition of Bregman, Devers was there for the taking. The ask would have been steep, but he could have been our regular 3B. Third base is a train wreck right now for us. Our whole infield has been a bit of a mess, TBH.

The budget is set. They aren't going to take on salary two weeks into the season. Besides, teams NEVER trade legit Major leaguers in April. Almost never do in May.
