If we were going for the sweep, my thread title would have been "7/2 GT Sweep those Royal Ugly Dudes". Maybe next time.

I see they sent Hancock down, he's just never at any point looked like someone who would be a successful big league starting pitcher. In his place they called up someone called Joe Jacques, a guy whose major AND minor league stat lines look like something a middle infielder who pitches in blowouts would put up. Seriously, he's HORRIBLE.

Hopefully Cal doesn't do the HR Derby practice session crap today. It's so asinine...

What's a home run derby practice session? You know teams for fun usually hold their own mini home run derbies after batting practice. That's where ichiro got his reputation as a home run hitter. At those sessions with the mariners, Yankees and marlins

He is doing it during the game so can't play tonight.

The key word there is "mini". The way the actual HR derby is set up they are swinging at pitches rapid fire for 2 minutes (or whatever) at a time. There's a reason Judge doesn't take part...
Aaron Judge generally chooses not to participate in the Home Run Derby due to concerns about potential injury and fatigue, despite his 2017 win in the event. He has cited a shoulder injury he aggravated during the 2017 Derby as a reason for his decision, emphasizing the need to prioritize his long-term health and performance during the regular season, according to Yahoo Sports. He has stated he would only consider participating again if the Derby were held in New York,

They need to change the format back to no time limit with 3 allowed "misses" per round or else just invite Rowdty Tellez Daniel Vogelback type players to take part. I don't like the notion of having our team MVP deal with this distraction yet again.

Maybe it would be good not to post tonight's lineup. I mean Solano batting 4th are we serious. Can't wait to see Cameron absolutely torch this lineup. Sorry Logan u should know this is a guaranteed loss. How do we even score a run with this lineup!!!

Seems strange to hold the home run derby in a way that causes injuries, why don't they just do it like batting practice?
Batting practice home run competitions are fun, competitive drills where players try to hit as many home runs as possible within a set time or number of swings

Isn't the All Star game itself a distraction?
