I'm so pissed we didn't get another arm at the deadline this is getting it's own thread!
Speedy recovery Thornton eventhough you are a mostly problematic bullpen arm.

One option to address this issue with the bullpen is just score a bunch of runs on offense.
I think this is extreme glass half empty when the glass is obviously overflowing.
Geno! Geno! Geno!

Trent pitched to a 192 ERA+ in his 1st year with us and in his last 15 outings had pitched to a 2.28 ERA. Trent is funky with his angles and has decent stuff. But with that he was looked at as a pretty decent chance at a good arm down the stretch.
I have heard nothing on Gregory Santos since July 1. I am concerned that silence means he is done for the year.

If Santos was done for the year it be news and you'd hear about it

In another thread Santos was discussed and he is throwing bullpens as a prep to go on a rehab assignment

They signed Daniel Bard who is pitching pretty well in Tacoma. Maybe they bring him up. He has been in virtually every kind of situation so maybe he'd be a reasonable mid leverage kind of guy.

They need to start upping the staters pitch counts to 110 pitches a game. The only way we do anything in the playoffs is if the starters clear 6 innings a game at least and better if they get a batter or 2 into the 7th. We only have 4 decent bullpen arms and they can't throw an inning every game.

4 arms + move a starter to the pen... should be good enough to compete for a championship... there are a lot of days off in post season

I understand Chris Flexen can be had for a bag of Doritos and a dozen bus tokens.
