Should Harry get the start? As the catcher for ROCK? Instead of Garver? Please! Make it so.
Raleigh sit? Probably a good idea. Raleigh catch? Hell, NO! Raleigh DH? hmmm, he'll want to keep chasing Mantle. Okay, you can DH, Cal.

Remarkable how this rookie that Jerry apparently felt was not worthy of starting a game while continuing to give opportunities to losers like Garver and Raley was able to drive in the winning run from 3rd, something the "stars" in the lineup were unable to do in the same situation the previous few innings.

Amazing how this top prospect from our amazing farm system can't be trusted to not only not catch a single game after over a week being around all of our pitchers to learn their pitches and tendencies, but can't even DH ONE game. He has reverse splits so he's a much better option than Garver vs. RHPs. Of course they don't know what reverse splits are.

that really what you guys would want. a rookie on his first callup to the MLs put in critical situations as a dh. Sorry but i would take pretty much any player in the league that has actual experience facing ML pitching over a guy that never has in terms of lets say his first 100 at bats in the majors. Its just funny to me, the "hero aspect" or whatever. That Ford in his initial first few ML at bats could be one

Put in critical situations as a DH? What are you talking about? They could put him anywhere in the lineup. I'll take talent over experience and Ford has more talent than Garver.

Did you have a problem with Williamson and Young getting ABs in "critical situations" because i don't recall you ever complaining about it.

both willamson and Young have been taken out of the lineup due to critical situations and I don't have a problem with that, both their contributions are primarily defensive. And that's even with them both having months of at bats at the ML level. I am not talking about being a rookie, I am talking about initial actual at bats. Ford was brought up because the opportunity to expand rosters. Its a great experience for him. I would take Garver over him being it be ford providing his first few actual ML at bats doing it

So, full on conspiracy theory here, but once Ford becomes a Mariner? The Farm loses a Star and Jerry losses a prospect in his crown jewel of a farm system, right? The longer he rotted in AAA? The longer Jerry could point to how many studs they had down on the Farm.

I'd be curious to know how many prospects have been promoted to the MLs and used as a dh in their initial at bats

Would you prefer they brought back Solano and Mastrobuoni to DH?
