Reading this after spending the day in Cobh, sampling the oysters (quite good), a pint or two of stout, and (after being asked) teaching certain 15-year old Cork barmen how to make a Manhattan (you don’t use Powers Irish Whiskey and candied cherries, for a start).
I’ve been off the forum for the past 10 days, since the time difference here doesn’t permit me to watch in real time, and thus swear and gnash in a timely manner at our beloved bunglers and occasional heroes. (To be honest, Southern Ireland is quite distracting.) I should be back on board in early June when most of the pitching staff has turned over.
