What would you prefer.

Cost assumptions:

Donovan: JC + Farmelo $5.6M salary
Geno: $17M a year for two years
Nico: JC + Bliss $12M salary

Personally I believe they are going with Ben/Colt at 3rd and Young/Bliss at 2nd. It won’t bother me as long as they perform. I have no confidence Eugenio ability to hit at Safeco.

Agree about Geno. Of course we will all love it if they perform but is is asinine to roll with those four when there are far better more proven external options.

Bliss: Career .654 OPS Missed almost an entire year
Ben: .607 OPS
Young: .610 OPS
Colt: 20 yo and has played a grand total of FORTY games above A ball

And that doesn't even consider Raley and Robles massive question marks in RF.

No to Geno. Thanks for the memories, but he’s due for a steep decline.

Young needs more time in the minors. Let him figure it out and promote him mid season.

Nico is a stud and in the last year of his contract. Go for it.

The asking price for Donovan is way too steep - don’t fleece the farm for a 1 year utility guy.

Can I vote for Nico at 2nd, without adding those two guys that can't hit at 3rd? Based on what we are willing to pay, I guess not.

I don't really want Geno, but the thought of a 20 year old rookie or Ben Williamson's bats manning 3d base makes my head hurt.

Totally agree but we will be lucky to get ONE external bat.

Nico for me but I would be fine with Donovan because I am not high on either JC or Farmelo.

As long as we're dreaming here as we all know what the ass-hats in the FO have already decided to do - I'd get Bichette and go with Emerson at 3B. He seems to be clutch in the playoffs like Naylor.

It is the obvious move. Do you think a team that threatens to piss off one of its young SPs by haggling over $400k will turn around and sign a guy to a $150-$200M contract???

Speaking of Naylor I wonder what he thinks of our off season.
