* Cal Raleigh not shaking Randy Arozarena's hand at the WBC which ended up being a harbinger of things to come
* Signing Rob Refsnyder who's always raked left-handed pitching but suddenly stopped raking any pitching
* Signing Josh Naylor to a big contract and then watching his power magically disappear
* Trading for solid player Brendan Donovan who not only got hurt and missed a lot of time but then came back and became the first player in the entire history of MLB to get beaned in the batting cage and end up out for the rest of the season
* Trading top (albeit overrated) prospect Harry Ford for Jose Ferrer who supposedly has great stuff but sucked for the Nats and still sucks
* Re-signing Mitch Garver so that he could suck on this team for the third season in a row
* Calling up top prospect Colt Emerson who started well and then went to hell
* Calling up top prospect Kade Anderson who had one of the best seasons ever in the minors but is getting hit hard at the MLB level
* The continued regression of Julio Rodriguez, the stupidest player in baseball
* The continued regression of George Kirby
* Cal Raleigh having possibly the most inexplicable one-season 180 in MLB history
* Bryce Miller being about the best pitcher in baseball in the first half and about the worst pitcher in baseball in the second half
* Logan Gilbert continuing his baffling career in which he has an incredible 1.059 WHIP but a mediocre 3.60 ERA
* Andres Munoz blowing ten saves
* Eduard Bazardo giving up home run after home run after home run
* Leo Rivas who had shown a lot of promise last year as a utility player being completely unable to hit
* Trading for Taylor Ward who against astronomical odds has actually hit worse than Rob Refsnyder did
* Having the 50th anniversary all-time ceremony and then losing 3-2 as part of a three-game sweep against the Rays in which they scored a total of four runs
* Went 28 games without scoring in the first inning, three shy of the MLB record and third-worst streak of all time
* Julio Rodriguez in the same week throwing the ball into the stands with two outs and then getting a pitch clock violation...in center field
* Bryan Woo being unable to pitch on the road
* Conversely, Logan Gilbert giving up 24 dingers at home but only four on the road while becoming the first Mariner pitcher to give up four home runs in one inning
* Luis Castillo's career going off a cliff
* Having the worst bullpen in all of baseball for the second half of the season
* Having the worst offense in all of baseball for the entire season
* Having the worst defense in all of baseball for the entire season and one of the worst in the Statcast era (-45 runs according to Statcast)
* Suffering the worst loss in franchise history, 22-0 to the Brewers
* Continuously following up big victories with horrific losses
* Late in the season winning series against the Phillies, Cubs and Red Sox yet being unable to beat the likes of the A's and Angels
* Being presently 6 1/2 games out of first place in the worst-ever AL West season in which the division winner might end up being under .500
* Dan Wilson shattering the all-time sports record by May for saying "Tough one"

I'm sure there's more, but you look at this and just wonder how the hell this team has actually WON 70 games.

That’s a sad, sobering list

All I know is that we have just gotten our asses kicked by every team in the American League West.

We were predicted to walk away with the division, and now we are the bottom feeders.

With all of our hot prospects set to become full-time major league players (only to be ruined by our major league coaching staff), we are certainly not going to go after any heavy hitting free agents. So next season will be another wash, rinse, repeat.

I'm pretty happy with Ferrer overall and I'm not out on Bazardo yet. I'm much more skeptical on Munoz.

You forgot the Brash and Vargas injuries. Those had a cascading effect as Bazardo and Munoz have been overused which is probably contributing to their struggles.

Hard to believe, but it took a 7-3 final 10 games for the Braves last year to finish 76 and 86.

I see the M's in a similar light and with similar talent to the Braves.

I still think there's good things coming for the M's given Cal's turn around. I think Julio will get to work and figure it out. I think Young/Canzone will continue to mature into their primes.

We'll see what they decide to do in adding veteran talent. I guess that's the kicker.

Need a left fielder... need a 3B... need bullpen help.

I bet they just proclaim that Donovan is finally 100% Healthy and go with him at 3B and go with Arroyo in LF. Rest of the lineup is the same with Canzone and Laz handling DH/RF. UNLESS Jerry finally gets fired.

Braves are going win ~95 games this season. If you think we are going to have our 2nd best season in a half century next season after this shit show I think you are insane. lol

I think they will add the next dumpster of Relievers and hope a couple pan out and that's it.

Ferrer this season has a WHIP of 1.433 and has given up 68 hits in 60 innings with only 48 strikeouts. For a left-handed pitcher who pitches half his games at T-Mobile Park, those numbers are abysmal.

Oh, I didn't forget, I just didn't think that was anything unusual other than what happened to Donovan. A lot of teams have had their share of injuries. Losing Brash very definitely hurt us, but Vargas sucks.
