So this core appears solid...

Post by IStillLoveTheMs » Sun Jul 07, 2019 11:47 pm

Position Players:

Mitch Haniger LF - Controlled cornerstone team who needs to get over whatever the fk was ailing him in the first half.

Domingo Santana RF - RF has significantly improved his worth. .290 18 HR's and 60+ RBI's in a half? Too good not to keep around

Omar Zarvaez C - Has the M's catcher curse ended? He's not great defensively. But .280 and 15 HR's in a half, a lot like Santana.

JP Crawford SS -Seems to have caught some confidence in that long swing of his. I like this kid. A lot.

Dan Vogelbach 1B/DH - Love me some Vogey.

Starters:

Marco Gonzales - Every rotation needs an upper 80's lobber from the left side.

Yusei Kikuchi - He'll figure it out. He's too talented not to. I think we're just seeing transition growing pains.

Relievers:

Austin Adams - Controlled. Great stuff. Just needs to develop a bit more.

Dan Altavilla - Same as above.

Brandon Brennen - Fell off after an unbelievable start. Has amazing stuff but lost command. When he gets it back he's dominant.

Connor Sadzeck - Excellent slider that is actually a cutter. He impressed me a lot before he got hurt.

HOPE LIKE HELL DIPOTO CAN BUILD AROUND IT...

Please Jared Kelenic, Jake Fraley, Evan White, Justin Dunn, Justus Sheffield, Logan Gilbert, Art Warren, Wyatt Mills, Joey Gerber... be ready to join these guys. I'm begging.

I could see one or both starters being pushed out by a rotation of Gilbert, Sheff, Dunn, Kirby, Campbell/Carlson

Well yeah, eventually. But I doubt either of them is going to be on the M's until maybe 2022 since they'll likely start in Low-A ball.

My hope is the M's spend a fuck ton on a 3B, 2B and at least 1 starter for 2021. God knows what 2020 is gonna look like... probably gonna be a lost bandaid years sort of like this 2nd half is gonna be. Although we should see White, Fraley, Long, Sheffield and Dunn all season.

lol I love it when new people post.

It's like they're testing the waters and don't know quite what to say.

So they just shout their frustrations in less than 10 words.

Rizzo is showing some signs of life in Modesto and is still only 21 but yeah, I think 3rd and 2B is where we will need to go FA.

Check my other post. You must be one of the callers I've listened to for years on post game radio shows criticizing any one who would dare say anything negative which should have been said about the lackluster effort on the part of this team. I did not post in cape there for I did not shout. Get real snowflake.

By the way ilovethe checked out your post history. For such a generated veteran to have short less then 10 word posts you are a hypocrite.

Agreed. Danny Walden is a 3B possibility.

Sam Delaplane is putting up some good stats at Arkansas. 0.69 ERA in 13 innings, 25 Ks, 5 BB.

I think you could do a complete swap of the M's pen and Arkansas pen and the M's would be better off.
