Mariners facing former 4th round pick, traded away to help acquire Drew Smyly, and has, ironically, become what the Mariners hoped that Drew Smyly would be

Orioles with a 3-run walk-off home run to edge the Astros earlier today. Gotta love it.

Was Yarbourgh a Z draft pick?

Yes. 2014 4th round. Was really good everywhere before being traded (other than the 5 ip he had in Modesto). I was sad to see him go. One of the many promising pitchers Dipoto got rid of (Gohara, Niedert, Yarbrough the ones that bugged me the most)

Looking like he's going to get a complete game shutout. I say in the bottom of the ninth swing and miss at the first pitch and launch the bat just over his head, see if you can unnerve him. Seriously, DO IT.

There may be more players on the Arkansas roster that will be playing for the Mariners in 2021 than on the Mariners roster. I see 5 potential starters for 2021 and a utility guy right now in the Arkansas starting lineup.

Yarbrough goes 8.2 ip, 3 H, and is taken out with 1 out to go so they can get a right on right matchup...

And in comes Emilio Pagan. Good thing we have Healy sitting in a hospital bed rather than Pagan... Another good pitcher that Dipoto gave up on.

More stupid Modern Baseball, your starter’s mowing down everybody, righties no problem, but That final righty, gotta get the “reliever.”

What Crap.

Yet the Rays manage to be second in East, and hold tight to the second wildcard spot, despite having essentially the same OPS as Mariners, and fewer runs scored.
