Probably wouldn't have started Game 2 if we had lost yesterday.

After signing him to that contract they wouldn't have used him? I doubt that, i just think he would have been on a short(er) leash.

They signed him to that contact because they think he is a pretty good pitcher

So yesterday I pointed out that while the BJs had a deep line up of solid hitters they didn't have and elite or even great hitters making them susceptible to elite pitching like Castillo offers.

Today, RR is not nearly as elite so the key will be getting to the bottom of their lineup while putting up a couple of goose eggs. Then their hitters will likely start doubting themselves after 11-12 shut out innings. Pressure will be more than what is in tires....And if we can strike first again all the better and all the tighter they will become.

RR is pitching on 5 days rest:

Julio rodriguez since may 1

That is about 35 HR over 600 AB. This is what we might be able to see over a full season.
