Morosi agrees that Nimmo is a pretty good option

Have to be a complete HOMER to prefer Mitch over him.

Thanks DTrain!
You lose some homerun power with Nimmo but he gets on base and hits for average.
He would "keep the line moving". He's better defensively.
Haniger is a guy that can at times carry your team when healthy with his long ball. We've seen it.
For me, too many question marks with him, and this team needs to move forward to another level.
Which means we have to move on from Mitch Haniger.
As someone who also watches every single game...I'd rather watch Nimmo at leadoff and get on base in front of Julio and Frenchie and Bogarts
rather than watch Haniger swing at strike three on a breaking ball down and away. Or, watch a combo of Dilly, Kelenic, Trammell, Haggs rotating in the outfield because Haniger is on the IL for old tall man stuff. Just my two cents for what that's worth.

He hit 12 HRs on the road this season. Mitch hit 11 total. Anyone taking the over on Mitch playing 100 games next season???seattlefan-daBronx wrote: ↑Thu Oct 27, 2022 6:29 pmThanks DTrain!

Sounds like a good fit. It also sounds like we might not offer a QO to mitch
Re: Morosi agrees that Nimmo is a pretty good option
I've been saying Nimmo from the start. Let Haniger go.
I've been following every mariner game, keep KELENIC!!! He's going to break out!!!

Re: Morosi agrees that Nimmo is a pretty good option
Would the Mariners prefer to buy high on Brandon Nimmo or buy low on Michael Conforto?
The medicals on Conforto should be deciding but Nimmo and Conforto provide interesting comps as 29-year-old lefthand-hitting, righthand-throwing outfielders, born the same month, who have played their entire MLB careers with the New York Mets. Their career lines:
BN DOB 3-27-93 608 G, 2368 PA, .269/.385/.441/.827, 130 OPS+, 17.9 fWAR, 17.1 bWAR
MC DOB 3-1-93 759 G, 2980 PA, .255/.356/.468/.824, 124 OPS+, 19.3 fWAR, 15.7 bWAR
Does the difference justify the likely disparity in contracts?
