OFFICIAL: 2023-2024 Offseason & Free Agency Thread

It's about to get crazy, so I thought I'd throw it up now.

I want Bellinger, Pederson, and Candelario. Trade Kelenic and either Bryce Miller or Bryan Woo for Pete Alonso.

Send Suarez packing and see if you can't get any reliever help.

I'd also like a new hitting instructor(s), because DeHart ain't cutting it. Trade Marco for a bag of balls, just to see if you can unload his contract. Add Hancock as well since that dude is injury prone, maybe pry a bat from St. Louis.

Sign Shohei Ohtani to a $300M 6-year deal!

It's about time!

Somebody here had a great idea about using Ohtani as a RP and DH.

There's a late inning weapon!

The other problem about an Ohtani at Starting Pitcher is the Angels still had to go with a 6 man rotation.

If that's the case, Ohtani's actual impact to the rotation is his stats plus the #6 SP's stats.

So if you have an ace and a #6 SP, the average of the two is like adding a mid-rotation starter.

That's if he and his agent allow it. But if he can pitch towards the end of the year out of the pen, then hell yeah!

1B-Alonso
2B-Rojas
SS-Crawford
3B-Candelario
LF-Pederson
CF-Rodriguez
RF-Bellinger
C-Raleigh
DH-Ohtani

Ace-Castillo
P-Gilbert
P-Kirby
P-Ray
P-Woo or Miller(Keep one)

Ohtani for end of year or next season pitching.

Get whatever you can for extra relievers to help Brash and Munoz. Re-sign Gabe Speier.

God I was JUST thinking that!!! How in the F does that guy still have a job. 3 years of dog shit offense and the just keep him. Most teams go through hitting coaches like paper towels but we are probably getting ready to promote that MFer to hitting Czar or some shit. Jesus this org is a JOKE!

As far hitting goes, yes. It's a puzzle beyond words. Pitching, we've figured out in spades.

I think stupid salaries are here to stay. If anything, Arizona making the WS on a shit salary fortifies Dipoto's stance on spending.
