I realize that Rocker's numbers look really good but talks about a small sample size.... The dude has only pitched 64.2 innings total in the minors and only 36.2 innings this season. Seems like a complete rush job on the Rangers part. I am not sure what the upside is for them on this. Maybe they just wanted to give him a soft landing and the M's offense is an easy target.

Just looked at the standings on MLB.com and thought it was interesting there are only 9 teams with a >.500 record against teams with a >.500 record. (None in the AL West)

Kumar Krypto - I predict in his hyped up MLB debut he pitches well but will commit the first 2 errors of his professional career. One will be mis-fielding a Robles bunt, booting it. The other will be cleanly fielding a comebacker but throwing it over the SS's head at 2B on an attempted doubleplay. Mariners win, 7-6 tonight.

Rookie Kumar Krypto cannot beat the Mariners because Kryptonite harms and weakens supermen but none of the Mariners are ____________ and most of them are already ____

I really like that deal:

I think Casas is a legit hitter from the left side and would fit nicely at 1B/DH.
Smith has slumped in the 2nd 1/2 but is another lefty that plays everywhere

I guess then Raley is another guy at 1B/DH and OF.

Moore and Rojas are your platoon 2B?

Maybe they even sober up and go after Snell at least for a 1 year to try for the WS!
