Seems Howell wanted out.

Post by Michael K. » Wed Apr 30, 2025 1:21 pm

As I've said before, the JackAss was about as ill prepared to play a football game as any QB I've seen at the NFL level, and then he has the balls to be happy he gets shipped out? What a dickhead.
Upon his trade to Minnesota, Howell sent an emphatic six-word message on social media. "Thank you God! Let's go Vikings," he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).4 days ago

You still thank the organization on the way out. This dude not only put in one of the worst QB performances in a decade or more when given a chance to play, he gave them the middle finger on the way out. As if something that happened to him is why he looked like a seventh grader playing Varsity football when he got on the field.

So long, Howell. Seems like a good trade for SEA.

SEA QB depth chart at present:

Darnold
Lock
Milroe

Hall has been waived. His scouting report vs Milroe doesn't appear to be very comparable. This is a good move in my opinion. One would think that Milroe is going to usurp Lock at some point.

Hall scouting report (Bleacher Report)

HEIGHT: 6'0"

WEIGHT: 207

HAND: 9 1/2"

ARM: 29 3/4"

WINGSPAN: N/A

40-YARD DASH: 4.62

3-CONE: 6.97

SHUTTLE: 4.19

VERTICAL: N/A

BROAD: N/A

POSITIVES

— Very good arm strength. Easy velocity to throw outside the numbers.

— Quick, efficient and malleable release. Can adjust and quickly flick the ball out.

— Flashes of high-level accuracy on NFL throws.

— Above-average ability to escape the pocket and create.

— Above-average athlete. Enough to effectively scramble and live outside the pocket.

NEGATIVES

— Undersized. On the shorter and smaller side. Will be hard to survive in the pocket.

— Inconsistent ball placement. Misses more routine throws than he should.

— Poor processor within structure. Takes cheap shortcuts too often. Struggles to see and react to moving parts in coverage.

— Tends to hold the ball too long due to a blend of indecisiveness and an inclination to create outside of structure.

OVERALL

Jaren Hall has a bundle of athletic traits and tools to work with, but he's an undersized and old prospect who may need years of development before he's ready for action.

In terms of arm talent, Hall checks every box. He has a quick, clean release that he can mold and adapt to any situation. Hall also rips the ball with great velocity, giving him access to tight-window throws and NFL throws outside the numbers. Better yet, Hall flashes moments of impeccable touch, especially on seam and corner routes. He needs to find consistency in that regard, but he has the potential.

Hall is also a capable athlete. He's a bouncy mover inside the pocket and has the stop-start explosiveness to leave the pocket in a hurry when he needs to. Although he isn't a top-tier rushing threat, Hall has enough juice to scramble for efficient chunks of yardage and make defenses respect his athleticism. That athleticism also serves him well as a creator outside the pocket, a play style he often leans into.

Milroe scouting report (Bleacher Report)

HEIGHT: 6'2"

WEIGHT: 217

HAND: 9 ⅜"

ARM: 30⅝"

WINGSPAN: 76⅝"

POSITIVES

— Explosive dual-threat quarterback capable of making big-play with his running ability.

— Dynamic arm talent to push the football vertically and outside the numbers.

— Well-built and proportionate frame with tremendous play strength.

— Young and developing talent with a high ceiling.

NEGATIVES

— Can be too eager to pull the ball down and bail out of clean pockets.

— Consistency in trusting his eyes against defensive coverages.

— Anticipating throwing windows, will wait for the wide receiver to complete their route breaks before throwing.

— Feeling and sensing pressure while in the pocket.

Jalen Milroe is the most physically gifted quarterback prospect in the draft class. He is one of the most explosive athletes at any position in college football.

Milroe epitomizes the term "dual-threat quarterback." He brings outstanding speed and acceleration to defeat pursuit angles. His dynamic athleticism opens the offensive playbook and play-calling. Milroe thrives with a variety of designed QB run calls like, QB veer, zone read, QB Power, etc. He creates explosive plays on the ground and is a threat at any moment. His athleticism will force teams to play 11-on-11 and account for him in the game plan.

Milroe is still developing as a pocket passer. He has a dynamic and live arm to push the ball down the field creating explosive passing plays. He thrives as a vertical shot-making QB—attacking the defense in the deeper areas of the field. Milroe is showed flashes of getting through his progressions quicker and taking what the defense gives him, earlier in the season. He has beaten the blitz effectively, at times, with his arm and legs.

Lets hope this first dual threat pass isn't a Pick/6 -

He might as well have done something similar to what Earl Thomas did and flipped the bird at Seahawk headquarters as he drove away in his Prius.

That would make him a triple threat, like when Geno calls for a redzone pick in the 4th quarter.
