Training Camp thread

Post by D-train » Wed Jul 23, 2025 11:01 pm

I just watched a segment on KOMO news where were at VMAC for Opening Days. Fans were jacked. Circus like atmosphere. I hope this isn't the highlight of the season. All Training camp developments can be posted here.

Hopefully Darnold looking better than in Mini/Camp where it was reported that Lock came out on top-

Wondering how we can stash five RBs somewhere on practice squads or active roster or wherever this year. Our promised run-heavy offense is going to need a lot of backup ball carriers for potential (really inevitable) injuries to our RBs. I'd like five somewhere in the org.

Walker
Zach
McIntosh
Martinez
Holani

I don't want to lose any of them.

Lock is still looking excellent into camp, it appears. He is starting to remind me of Mudbone Krieg, a gamer. Plus, they are singing Milroe's praises and his fast ascent and rapid improvement. That makes me feel a lot better if Darnold can't run the offense, or gets body-bagged on a sack courtesy of the offensive line. He doesn't seem to move that well to me at all. But I think our oline is going to be better than the pundits are giving us credit for. We'll see. Totally pumped even for preseason in a couple weeks.

So their having a rivalries promotion this season with special uniforms. The Seahawks will be playing the most of them because the rest of the division all picked the Seahawks as their rivalry game, talk about having a target on your back lol. For me that's an aspect of the Pete Carroll era, the Seahawks competed

Good Lord. I swear, if Pete Carrol said dogshit was nutritious, you’d run to the pet store tomorrow.

Yup, a fan that enjoyed the fucking heck out of it, truly some great times! i certainly don't mind admitting that. It's a gas that every other team in the division considers us their rival game now. You on the other hand seem to like to spend your time complaining about it, cool if it works for you buddy. Honestly, I'm sorry you didn't seem to enjoy it that much. Maybe they have another run like that or then maybe not, who knows, personally i have it to enjoy.

They hate them because guys like Lynch, Sherman, Bennett and Baldwin kicked their ass and told the, about it. No one is worried about Pete Carroll. He did a great job of rebuilding, and as quick as he built a dynasty? He fucked it up just as fast because he and John believed there was one way to do things. The farther Pete was from his college days? The less information they had on players, and the worse the draft was.

Your fucking infatuation with giving him all the credit and non of the blame is sickening. He said throw the ball on second and goal. He went along with the belief that you don’t need an O Line. He was the one that looked at the way we stacked up late in his career and thought he could win ball games like he had Lynch and the LOB. He had final say in moving down every draft, to take scraps like Tyson and Thompsen. Drafted a Guard and forced him to play Tackle based on his draft spot, drafted that fucking King of the one yard sack dance because he had a good Senior Bowl. Every thing he did right? He later fucked up. But you’re too busy bowing at his feet to see that.

This was a player run locker room. They admitted to spending more time on how to protest than how to beat the Titans. He alienated certain players because if his affection for others. This organization would have been better off if he stopped coaching years earlier. Stay in the organization, but for Christ sakes, adapt to the current game or get the fuck out of the way so someone else can.

But yeah, Pete is a God. I disagree. He earned the benefit of the doubt, and then repeatedly gave reasons why he no longer deserved it.

He was a hell of a lot of fun, that's what Pete was. it was a brilliant move for Allen to go get him. He could have stuck with Mira, there's an alternate reality. That's what really made both their legacies, creating that Seahawks culture. It's the culture that makes them the rivalry game for every other team in the division. I enjoyed it, it's why the Raiders hired Pete. It's about trying to salvage the raiders culture. Man, how the raiders have fallen. But that's fine, you don't get it, okay. But I doubt there's a lot of football fans out there that wouldn't understand what I'm getting at. Like i have said, i compare Pete to lou Pinella. Lou didn't have the most brilliant baseball mind but he could build culture and was fun besides, that's a gift. Pete was one of the few that could do it both at the college and pro level
