In the Penix vs. McCarthy rematch it was a tough day for J.J. as he got picked twice, sacked 6 times, and fumbled 3 times (1 lost).

Neither of them got much yardage but Michael P made fewer mistakes and picks up the W.

And how about Russ with the monster game (450 yds 3 TDs) after last week's pathetic showing?

I was looking forward to rooting for Geno to suck, but I won't be able to see it, as ESPN is letting me see the undercard
game on ABC, but won't be letting my cable-cord-cutting ass watch the Raiders and Chargers. I'm pretty butt hurt
about it actually. Watching MNF on free TV should be an American birthright.

It seems it wasn't that long ago I was jealous of the Texans for having CJ Stroud.
Dude is garbage.

having more than one game totally refutes the entire point of what MNF represented in the first place. It was meant to be a single football game on in prime time that the entire nation would watch together. All the hype, the theme song, the entire thing was about a weekly little SB. And it worked, it was fun, so of course they can never just leave something alone but have to get greedy

geno smith, "I kind of been nobody's favorite player"...
Smith's fifth team in 12 seasons -- has offered more than preferable weather to satisfy his hunger.

For the first time in his career, Smith walked into a new organization as Plan A at quarterback.

When Las Vegas traded for Smith from Seattle in exchange for a third-round pick on March 7, it did so with the intention of Smith leading the franchise and providing stability at the most important position on the field. Smith didn't have to worry about a training camp battle.

"I finally got my team," said Smith, whose Raiders host the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday night (10 p.m. ET, ESPN). "I always felt like I was trying to replace Russell [Wilson in Seattle], and you can never replace all the great things that he did. So I never felt like Seattle was my team.

"Also, I didn't feel like I fit the aesthetic of the Seattle organization. The Raiders just fit me."
