I'm curious how long Spoon gets to be mediocre and nobody in the media says anything.
I agree. He is overrated. Just solid. Not special.
I don't think he should be playing corner in the NFL.

He should be playing safety.
Good point. All he wants to do is play around he line of scrimmage and talk shit. He is a solid player, just not elite like many think. Is he elite in any 1 thing? It’s not rushing the passer. It isn’t in coverage. It isn’t ball hawking. Maybe tackling.

I wonder how much smack talking sooon did after not making the play on the two tds he got beat in. One not making the pass defense on Harrison and missing the tackle on the other. Elite db….nope.

We were dominating this game, got a nice lead, and the coaching staff decided to play not to lose, which they almost did.

Running the ball into the line to set up a FG of over 50 yards when there's still a lot of game left is asinine. I knew Myers was going to miss that one. Thankfully he got another shot.

It's a W, and those are always good. 3-1 and we've clearly outplayed our last three opponents, tonight's score being deceivingly close.

We should be 4-0. Let's hope they learn from games 1 and 4 and correct themselves.

They should just have him be a box safety. Let him cover tight ends and pick up routes over the middle. Let him crash the line on run plays and blitzes.

They have no faith in Darnold. Which is strange. Supposedly he was their choice. And when they have let him play football? He’s looked pretty good. Neutered him for almost four quarters against the Niners, and damn near win the game BECAUSE they let him play. Then we jump out to leads in two games, largely due to his play….so what possible explanation is their for the chickenshit play calling in the 4th quarter last night,

Confirmed everything I feared about Pete Junior and his flunky yes man Kubiak. I said it all off season. Prepare for an offense that is fucking offensive. That was pathetic. Grown men afraid of their own shadows.

On pace to win 28-6 vs a division rival that is 2-1 on the road despite several inane blunders. I shall take it.
This is when I knew the game was about to take a decidedly frightening turn.

As for the ongoing and upcoming criticism of MM and Kube for being conservative, it wouldn't have looked
nearly as bad if the run game was better. If you can't run it late, it puts you in a bad spot. Even with that
lead, you are only a Darnold pick 6 and another Woolen gaff away from being in a position to lose.

Yes, Darnold and his play is the key weapon to this offense currently and I expect the coaches to reconsider
where they are at with future game plans. Yes, they should, and probably will, trust him more.
You don't game plan for the least embarrassing way to lose. You game plan to win.

Seems to be the MO when playing divisional opponents maybe? I don't get it. This game is easily lost. Imagine if the Cards go for two and get it, then they don't kick it short of the landing zone? I realize that would have changed everything, and maybe we get even closer and kick the game winner anyway. But I just don't understand why when we have a chance to control the game? We decided to curl up into a ball.

Calling two timeouts on defense late in the fourth quarter? Stupid. Or so I thought. Seems like calling the one they did might have given them the chance to get into field goal range, since I don't think AZ was going to call it. They were going to let it tick and try to score on the last play. So? I might have to change my tune on the criticism there. But our "Run Game" guru and his staff of geniuses? Why can't we just run it when we want to and they know it? Because that is incredibly hard, that's why. The thought process that is what we are going to do because we added Zabel is silly. But? We don't care, do it anyway.

This is what Defensive guys do. It is so fucking maddening. This team is 3 and 1, and could be 4 and 0. So it's nice that we can learn from mistakes and still be in this position. But will they learn? They didn't, because this game script looked an awful lot like the one that cost us the 49er game. We were in complete control of that game too. Yes, because of missed FGs, but we had every chance to put that game away and refused to even try. 88 yards passing with less than two minutes to play in that game. That is fucking leather helmet shit.
