It appears as though Tomlin has no interest in coaching for the foreseeable future. He stepped down to spend time with family.

Well deserved, if you ask me.

I really can't see Harbaugh having any interest in the Giants. And MIA, a perennial loser franchise with terrible ownership? I doubt that as well.
My X buddy in Pittsburgh DESPISES him and was celebrating like he won power ball when the news of him stepping down came out. Similar run as Pete Carrol. They haven't won a playoff game since Obama was in office.

Agreed.

Looks like Harbaugh is headed to NY after all.

Dolphins are recent year losers with terrible ownership, yes, but not perennially. and that ownership has Harbaugh/Michigan ties, so you can see why people were making that link. but yeah, Harbaugh can do much better; be interesting if he stays in division and takes over for Tomlin.
Fair statement, but MIA hasn't won a playoff game since 2000.

ok, i"ll give you perennial in that case.
a lot of time in that no-man's land of fringe playoff contention but never bad enough to draft a top QB - even when they were supposedly in the "Tank for Tua" mode, they only drafted 5th or 6th. The one year they got up to #3 was the worst draft year ever - picked the pass rusher from Oregon that Carroll later brought in as a reclamation project who never did anything in the league, just like the rest of that class.

After the big Super Bowl victory, I really haven't been paying much attention to the world of football. I ran into a young guy at the gym recently (he was wearing a Steelers hat) and he informed me that McCarthy is their new head coach. And he's completely flabbergasted, as was I. His exact words were, 'Art Rooney is an idiot'. And nobody's interested in a MCarthy-Rodgers reunion. He wanted them to hire Shula.

McCarthy... bottom of the barrel. Looks good on Steeltown.

I've posted this a few times in a few different places, but Knoll, Cower, Tomlin and McCarthy is like a Sesame Street skit. One of these things is not like the other....one of these things does not belong!
