Sure, but when do they leave off manipulating situations for intrigue, isn't that what the conspiracy theories are about? How about a computer just spitting out an unbiased schedule

So, if some computer spit out Jacksonville at the Jets for the first game of the season, you'd like that? They have the ability to make the first game of the NFL season be a big one, and playing the Chiefs without Mahomes? What business model would think that is a money maker?

Yeah, I suppose, I'd rather have the schedule be random and then pick the game from that. It begins with them wanting to open with the seahawks to begin with. I don't care about it, I want a fair schedule. Trying to find a tough opponent for the seahawks to open against for TV ratings bothers me . But whatever, they'll kick there ass whoever is.

A side note on D'Anthony Bell: I'm told he's getting a Super Bowl ring despite not finishing the season with Seattle. The Seahawks are doing right by a player who was one of their top special teams contributors before Carolina claimed him off waivers in Week 18.

Shane Steichen on Rodney Thomas

Speaking at the NFL annual meetings this week, Steichen said of Thomas, "Very smart, cerebral. Did a lot of good things. He was the multiple (safety) on the back end for us, and he was our personal protector on punts. But very smart guy, obviously an Ivy League guy. So I’m excited for his opportunity in Seattle."

So, if the Rams had won the Super Bowl, you'd be thrilled with a Wednesday night game featuring the Rams and Browns? Jesus dude. They aren't changing the fucking schedule, they are finding the Seattle opponent, already on their schedule, that offers the most intrigue for the first game of the year.
