Re: 2026 OTAs thread
I do think hes right about the line needing to take on a bigger load of pass protection. That the offense will be more oriented to the pass, there is that. They are essentially gambling on the line in fact improving based on continuity, not adding additional talent

SH might be willing to pay half of Zeitler's salary. Zeitler this season and Stephens 2027 and beyond...Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2026 2:21 amSo Barnwell at ESPN is once again saying the offensive line is their biggest weakness, that they didn't do enough to improve it. The deal is, this is one of those ESPN clickbait articles where he has to come up with something to say about every team, their worst off season move. That's the best he can come up with for the seahawks
Worst: Not doing more to upgrade the offensive line. I know, I know. The Seahawks won the Super Bowl while people like me were complaining that the interior of their offensive line (Grey Zabel aside) wasn't good enough. I wouldn't say that the line was great, but on the biggest stage, it was indeed good enough to win a title.
With the defense taking hits in free agency and Kenneth Walker leaving for the Chiefs, though, I would have liked general manager John Schneider to put a little more into building the line. His only addition was fifth-round pick Beau Stephens. Adding someone to offer competition for right guard Anthony Bradford, whom teams targeted throughout the season, or extra depth to help if oft-injured right tackle Abraham Lucas doesn't play all 17 games after doing so for the first time in 2025, would help. But then again, I also said that last year, and it didn't matter.

That seemed kinda interesting, an article on Emanuel Wilson being on thin ice
Early reports suggest that the Seahawks won't unleash Price right out of the gate. Instead, they will reportedly give Jalen Milroe some goal-line touches and will get him on the field as a situational running back. Whether that's the right call or not remains to be seen, but Price's role will most likely increase gradually as the season progresses.

Milroe at RB? Not sure I like that idea at all.
Re: 2026 OTAs thread
If they are going to try to squeeze blood out of a turnip I would prefer him at Beer vendor. lol

The Loons that suggested that we didn't need to draft a RB1 because we have Wilson are in shambles....Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2026 11:19 amThat seemed kinda interesting, an article on Emanuel Wilson being on thin ice

What do you think about them planning not to utilize Price earlier in the season, rely on Milroe. I have no idea what they mean by reports. The point was they would cut Wilson the latter part of the season with charbonnet back and more Price.D-train wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2026 4:08 pmThe Loons that suggested that we didn't need to draft a RB1 because we have Wilson are in shambles....Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2026 11:19 amThat seemed kinda interesting, an article on Emanuel Wilson being on thin ice

Something I meant to bring up is Prices pass blocking. I don't think he's considered particularly strong at it. That's something that really can impede a rookies snaps. To be a three down back you really need to be able to pass block. There's more to it than running the ball. And now they are going to have Garrett to deal with.

Goal Line and situational. Doesn't say he isn't going to be the man. Wouldn't be the first time a starter wasn't the goal line back or the third down back. Shit, the Falcons were out of the playoffs before they realized Bijan should get all that work! Gibbs might be one of the best backs in all of football, and he didn't get the goal line work a lot of times. This is something barely worth reporting on, and sounds about as plausible as Milroe taking back Tush Push duties from Barner.won't unleash Price right out of the gate. Instead, they will reportedly give Jalen Milroe some goal-line touches and will get him on the field as a situational running back.

Yeah, it's a confusing paragraph, combining the two. I do think his snaps could turn on his pass blocking as much as his running. I could see them bringing Price along, getting more comfortable with his pass blocking

Re: 2026 OTAs thread
That just sounds like a rookie adjusting to the NFL game. Not worth an article. Not sure who you quoted, but it seems they just wanted something to write about. I would put the odds of Price getting considerable snaps early in the season much higher than I would the possibility of Jalen Milroe becoming our goal line and situational back. It makes no sense. He doesn't run like a RB. He is a Mike Vick, RG III and Lamar Jackson type. Not the caliber of player any of those guys are, but he plays that style. Non of those guys would have succeeded as NFL RBs, and neither would Milroe.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2026 4:44 pmYeah, it's a confusing paragraph, combining the two.
