That being said my HS Wrestling team won the State title in 1985. Meadowdale in Lynnwood. Literally every guy in every weight class was one of the best....Almost never losing..

I think Randy Couture was from Lynnwood was he on that team?

I never heard of him and I was the Sports writer for the year book. Maybe Lynnwood High which is by the Alderwood Mall. Meadowdale is in NW Lynnwood about 5 miles away.

Brad Cook was one of the best in the state in 1985. Totally cut and about 160 lbs. So him in 2015 at the reunion and he was probably over 300lbs.

I distinctly remember MY Edmonds Tigers thrashing Meadowdale that year in wrestling. They didn't, but I identify as someone whose pronouns are "beat-meadowdale-in-85" so it MUST be true.

I do remember Bobby and Tim Koeppel were on our wresting team - there father was, of course, Robert Koeppel - Seattle PD's lead detective on the Green River task force. No joke!

Side note - did mountlake terrace ever win anything in any sport besides the "spilling bong water in a vega" olympics?

Looks like he graduated from Lynnwood High in 1981 or 82. I didn't think he was that old.

Yeah. I think Fenney went to Snohomish/UW/Vikings and Rankin was at Woodway if I rememeber correctly. Supposedly the greatest LB, I think ended up at a real small school. Played against him. DIdn't hit me once. lol. Rememebr Weedway had those orange and green uniforms. wtf
