I would MUCH rather have RW start a game than Milroe. I would much rather Jim Zorn start a game that Milroe....

It is confusing to me. He may just not be very bright, or he is listening to the wrong people. It sounds as if his coaches are telling him to use his legs, and he just decides he wants to stay in the pocket.

I think they want him to learn how to extend plays, not giving up on it after going through his progressions. He knows how to run and he can chuck a football. Its combining the two. He needs to learn to extend a play verically. They want him ripping it more, that is throwing it instead of bringing the ball down and running. Rememer how good RW was at that? Wilson would move around all over the place waiting for a reciever to get open and then ripping it. Thats what I think they want more of out of Milroe
“I think the whole thing just needs — just let’s go take another step, you know?” Macdonald said. “Let’s encourage him to go rip it. I think some great things that Jalen did was extend plays with his legs, something that has been a point of emphasis with him. . . . That really helped us.”

For all quarterbacks who have speed, agility, and mobility, the constant balance is whether to hang in the pocket a little longer in search of a way to “rip it,” or whether to pull the ball down and run it.

“The play doesn’t have to end if there’s nobody to throw [to] with your progressions,” Macdonald said. “Like, you’re allowed to extend the play, you know? It’s up to you on how long the play goes.”

The Seahawks would presumably prefer that, when Milroe extends plays, he first does so horizontally. That gives his receivers a chance to get open, allowing for as much or more yardage to be gained if he had chosen to run it instead.
I like my RW anology. I wonder what MM would think of that? They want Milroe to learn how to extend the play with his legs instead of giving up on it and running

Not really, Jalen doesnt have a noodle arm, he has the physical tools. Id say Its more the power hitter that needs to work on better contact
