Rasheed Shdogshit

Through 5 games, Shaheed has not exceeded 35 yards receiving.

He has not caught more than 3 passes in a game.

In 2025 for the Hawks, which was largely a failure in terms of catch production, Shaheed averaged 20.9 yards per game. In '26, he's even worse at 19.2.

He has never caught a TD pass as a Seahawk in 17 career games. And he's been a shit returner this year.

Waste of $15M a year.

Great.

$17M a year. $1M a game. He is on pace to set the all time record for fair catches though. Has 15 now so on pace for 51 which coincidentally is the value of his total contract.

Get get signed all the time and don't live up to expectations...or get traded for, what ever. Think back to Sheldon Richardson, who only had to be traded for because we believed losing the ATV racer was the end of the world. Percy Harvin, Jamaal Adams...there are more. Hell, Cooper Kupp isn't exactly earning his money is he?

Cooper Kupp has recorded 56 total regular-season catches (47 in 2025 and 9 through Week 5 of 2026) since signing with the Seattle Seahawks in March 2025, ranking well outside the top 50 wide receivers in the NFL over that span.

Not sure why it couldn't tell me where he ranks overall, but "well outside the top 50" paints a pretty bleak picture.

Do we know what happens if we made a different move though? When we looked at this team in the Off Season, no one saw them fumbling and throwing a ton of picks. If they didn't do that? We are 5 and 0 and happy with things.

When I looked at the Mariners starting lineup in March I thought....we are nowhere near as good as last year. THAT is the type of shit that pisses me off. This group has a ring, is a bounce or two away from 5 and 0, and just won a Super Bowl. I'm not ready to publicly flog them because they signed a guy that ran the opening kickoff of our first playoff game back for a TD.

As McVey if he wishes he had our Special Teams?

We don't know what happens if a different move is made. But bad moves have consequences.

And as I said before, I think Shaheed was largely inconsequential to the Seahawks Super Bowl run as his KR TD's would have been less necessary if he had simply caught the football more and had TD production relative to a WR2.

The team would be better with a better threat at wideout than Shaheed and resources would have been better allocated not re-signing him.

Had the M's re-signed K9... which I said I was more in favor of than re-signing Shaheed... Denzel Boston went 7 picks after Jadarian Price. I thought the Hawks needed a bigger bodied box out wideout and that Shaheed didn't really fit into the offense...

Mike Evans is 18th in yards per game and through 5 games has more catches than Shaheed has in 17 games with the Hawks. He's making $3M less.

Trust me, I'm the King of What If. What if we drafted Bryan Westbrook and not Mo Morris? But that team didn't win a Super Bowl. The what ifs here are different, IMO. We just won a Super Bowl, and are a few stupid INTs and Fumbles away from 5 and 0 this year. Signing Shaheed isn't why Darnold decided to revert to NY Jets Sam Darnold. It's not why Price got hurt either. And Walker wasn't going to win a Super Bowl MVP and come back here in a complementary role. The Chiefs gave him what he wanted.

In hindsight? It's too bad we didn't pay him. But we also don't know what would have happened if Price didn't get hurt....I mean, since we are playing the What IF game.

What do I know? This Head Coach won a Super Bowl in his second year and our GM has won two Super Bowls with two completely different teams and coaching staffs. No what ifs, that is a fact.

You are possibly right about Darnold turning into a Pumpkin being unrelated. But don't all all QBs tend to play better when they have an actual good run game? That is the only thing that has changed in Sam's world from the playoffs last season to this season. People keep saying Walker wouldn't have come back splitting carries and that is likely true but Charbs was injured so they could have promised him that he was going to be the Bell Cow for the majority the season and would reassess when Charbs is fully up to speed which is who knows when.

And if he didn't like that they could have Franchise tagged him. Not like he is going to intentionally play like shit costing himself millions in 2027 and beyond. It isn't why Price got hurt but like SOB mentioned we could have drafted Boston instead, maybe even traded down for him and added another mid rounder. I was jacked when we drafted Price but have been wrong so far. A fragile fumbler is no way to go through life as an NFL RB.

Would Walker be leading the league in yards if he was still a Hawk? Probably not but this offense would be massively better with Walker and Boston than Price and Shaheed. That is indisputable.

I think Darnold is spooked and pressing.

Doesn't change the fact that Shaheed isn't helping him not be that way.

It's not like the broadcasts are highlighting 10 yards gaps in coverage that Shaheed is filling and Darnold is flat missing.

According to this, Shaheed has been targeted 19 times this season. AI says he has 3 drops. Njigba has been targeted 49 times with two drops. (It would have been interesting to see how that Niners game had gone if he had made that catch at the end).

So how much of it is simply due to the play-calling? Are they just not utilizing him enough? Or not utilizing him properly? I don't know.

Give me the option, and I'm asking that we get Kubiak back before Walker.

This bears repeating.

Brian Fleury began his coaching career in 2003 as a graduate assistant and intern at Maryland.[1] After two years in the position, Fleury became secondary coach for the Sacred Heart Pioneers in 2005 and then served from 2006 to 2008 as their defensive coordinator, secondary coach and outside linebackers coach.[5] He returned to Towson in 2009 and served four years as special teams coordinator and defensive backs coach.[6]

Buffalo Bills
In 2013, Fleury was hired by the Buffalo Bills as an offensive quality control coach.[7]

Cleveland Browns
In 2014, Fleury was hired by the Cleveland Browns as their assistant linebackers coach and then he was promoted to outside linebackers coach in 2015.[7]

Miami Dolphins
In 2016, Fleury was hired by the Miami Dolphins, spending a year as a football analyst before being their director of football research from 2017 to 2018.[8]

San Francisco 49ers
In 2019, Fleury was hired by the San Francisco 49ers as a defensive quality control coach under head coach Kyle Shanahan. In 2020, he shifted to being an offensive quality control coach.[9] He helped the team reach the Super Bowl (Super Bowl LIV) in the 2019–2020 season against the Kansas City Chiefs.[1]

In 2022, Fleury was promoted to tight ends coach, coaching All-Pro George Kittle.[4][10] He was among the offensive coordinator candidates for the New England Patriots in 2024.

I highlighted Fleury's offensive pedigree. Fantastic.
An Offensive Quality Control Coach is an entry-level coaching position in the NFL primarily responsible for behind-the-scenes game preparation, statistical film analysis, and opponent scouting

Projected to have 329 yards in a SEVENTEEN game season. In 2013 Calvin Johnson had 329 yards in ONE game...
