CBS says Darnold is 19th.
Crazy to believe the guy that finished the season so highly regarded is now ranked 19th in the NFL....and I really can't argue it. I have been beyond disappointed with Darnold this year.

Never EVER thought I would see Purdy #1 and Cam Ward dead last.
And how about Bryce Young at 8 and Geno higher than Sam...Insanity.
btw Gee Scott and Mike Salk got in a massive arguement about Holani. Mike thought they should kick him to the curb and I AGREE. Gee was defending him to the death because he helped us win the SB. LMAO That dude is such a tool. Do you think if was Ty Okada or Drake Thomas that royally fucked up Gee would have defended either of those guys???

I hate be this guy, but Gee Scott is an enormous racist, and I just can't handle to even listen to him. If Holani's name was Cam Scattaboo he'd say fire him before he got to the locker room at the half. I'll never forget the tear filled monologue he delivered after the Racist Vegas Police beat up poor Mike B. when all he wanted to do was get home to his family. Never once walked that back either.D-train wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2026 4:43 pmNever EVER thought I would see Purdy #1 and Cam Ward dead last.

There is enough racism in the world without guys like Gee making shit up.

I think Darnlld's struggles havd been more about the lack of a running game and Fleury not doing a good job countering what opponents havd been doing ddfensively than anyghing elsc. He might have been rusty but it's not like he forgot how to play the position.

He has always had an issue with turnovers. If that wasn't the case? I might put less concern on it.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2026 5:48 pmI think Darnlld's struggles havd been more about the lack of a running game and Fleury not doing a good job countering what opponents havd been doing ddfensively than anyghing elsc. He basically averages a Pick a start on his career.
87 INTs and 94 starts.
Herbert has issues. He has 65 INTs in 100 starts.
Bryce Young has 32 INTs in 48 starts.
Purdy has 39 INTs in 50 starts.
CJ Stroud has 25 INTs in 51 starts.
I wouldn't say those guys are perenial Pro Bowlers, and they certainly aren't playing for the Defending Super Bowl Champs. 5 INTs in 4 starts this year. Just Sam being Sam. This was my fear when we brought him in, and I may have been fooled by a string of good luck in the Post Season. But the guy's middle name is turnover.

I was thinking of Purdy the other day. Pretty incredible. Just goes to show how off base some of the scouting can be. So many intangibles that are completely missed. Apparently you can't measure football IQ and motivation.
Search Assist says this:
"Brock Purdy has drawn comparisons to Tom Brady due to his impressive performance and ability to manage games effectively, with analysts noting similarities in their playing styles. Both quarterbacks have been recognized for their accuracy and decision-making on the field."
