Condotta characterized it as an up and down day. Had two picks but had TDs too. Where did you see lost?
Didn't read it, listened to Brock and Salk. His first two throws, I believe, were intercepted. It didn't surprise me. The guy has had some real good games, all with one of the best Receivers in the game, one of the best O Lines in the game, one of the best play callers in the game...and even that wasn't enough to keep him from falling flat on his face to lose the Division and get blown off the field in the playoffs.

I don't see him as much more than a cheaper and younger Geno. Which is fine, I just saw the Sam Darnold I recognized to finish the season last year, and that was in a MUCH better situation than he is walking into here.

Then? There is this.

Seahawks $105 Million QB Suffers Embarrassing First Public Outing

First Google search.

Not to mention, if Geno threw two picks close together in a RedZone drill? This place would be on fire about it. I think we have a below average QB, a below average OC, a below average receiving core, and an average O Line. Not what Sam had last year when he had his only good NFL season. I’m hopeful the defense and run game can keep us in the hunt. But wouldn’t be surprised if we finish around were we have the past three years. In that 9 to 10 win range. Sam just doesn’t move the needle much for me.

What's there not to like about this guy
“The number one thing that stands out is the guy’s a worker,” Kubiak said of Milroe, who was taken 92nd overall out of Alabama. “You see him in there at 4:30 a.m. on the field going through his plays. Nobody asked him to do that, but he’s out there putting in extra time. I’ve seen him grow a lot from rookie minicamp to now, so I’ve been impressed with the kid.”

Yeah, I have high hopes for him, but am afraid they might only be hopes. Who knows, but he sure needs a TON of work throwing the football.

Sorry, but if this is how Geno finished the year, and we decided to keep him? I'm pretty sure this place would be pretty pessimistic about the coming season.

Against Detroit
18 of 41 for 166 yards. No TDs or Interceptions, and he actually only took two sacks.
That's four yards per attempt. I just remember watching thinking "this guy is seeing Ghosts!"

The Ram game he was a bit better. But I remember him looking completely lost until the Rams called off the dogs up big.
25 of 40 for 245 yards. 1 TD and 1 pick, but 9, count them, 9 sacks.

That means in the two most important games of the season, Same Ol Sam was
43 for 81, 53% completion percentage with 411 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT and 11 sacks. Not winning many games when your QB averages 5 yards per attempt, completes less than 55% and gets sacked all the time. Hearing he isn't anticipating, looks anxious and isn't setting his feet? Even after basically being handed the starting job here?

He put up those numbers to finish the season with the Viking O Line, the Viking Weapons and O'Connell calling plays. Minnesota is easily moving on to a kid that sat all of last year as a rookie with an injury. Not sure we should have a shit load of faith in the guy.

Again, I'm sorry, but I have little faith.

Anywhere you look Darnold is ranked more or less equal to Smith. Fans that celebrated this as the last of Geno might be in store for some disappoinment terms of his replacement

Very true. I think we are in for more happy feet and bad turnovers. That said? I think we are going to be more effective running the ball, so we may be able to minimize his mistakes more. That is the hope anyway. Adding one new Guard may not be enough to take care of the limitations this group had in the run game last year. Just pretending that all we need is an OC to call more run plays is foolish. I really think the only thing the new guy has is a last name that is recognizable. I hope I am wrong.

I don't speak for all fans, but I'm pretty sure others feel like I do. There's zero chance I'll have regret Geno is gone, no
matter how badly Darnold does or doesn't suck. It was time for Geno and the Seahawks to break up. Geno was a
stopgap that was just getting in the way to the next chapter.

I'm not thrilled with the Darnold choice as I want a QB that takes off running for no fucking reason at all, which I
believe completely freaks out and frustrates opposing defenses. Milroe could be that guy. I hope Darnold does
better than I think. I'll be glad to praise him if he does, but I'm hoping for a Russell Wilson type story with Milroe.
But since we are probably stuck with Darnold, at least Darnold doesn't seem like an angry dick head like Geno.
I got so tired of the Seahawks, fans, and media pretending Geno was a better leader and talent than he actually was.

I wasn't a great athlete, good but not great, above average speed but I never had a problem throwing a football. I could throw better rolling left than right. Perfect spiral from telephone pole to telephone pole about 50 yards. lol

thing about Milroe I think is he has a high floor, as well as a high ceiling he's a talented athlete, disciplined, motivated, intelligent. I'm not necessarily pinning my hopes on his being another Lamar Jackson but I think he's going to play football for us. He may evolve into a gadget player or some other type of player but I doubt he just washes out. He's a combination of intangibles and talent. I had no idea who he was until JS drafted him, now i am happy to have him, he's an interesting guy

Can anyone explain this:
In February 2025, Milroe's hand span reportedly grew from 8+3⁄4 in (220 mm) to 9+3⁄8 in (240 mm).

The probable explanation is that the initial measurement at the senior bowl was incorrect...
