So teams have an average of .5 FGs blocked a season but you would rather risk your starting Pro Bowl caliber LT our for the rest of the season than having 1 FG get blocked a season. And what are the chances that 3 points a season cost you a single game. Close to zero. Sorry that is an absurd risk for close to zero benefit. Can't be anti Thursday night football but want your starting LTs on the field an extra 6-10 times a game. If you LT misses the next 3 games how many more sacks and blown running assignments is that.
The percentage of blocked NFL field goals is generally low, hovering around 1.6% to 2.1% overall, but it significantly jumps for longer kicks (like 60+ yards), sometimes reaching over 10%, with a noticeable surge in blocks reported in the early 2025 season. In 2024, about 1.6% of field goals were blocked (18 out of 1,115 attempts), but the rate can vary by season and situation, with recent seasons showing more blocks due to factors like longer kicks becoming common.

Supposed to be sustained winds of 15 MPH at game time and gusts up to 40. It will be interesting to see how that affects the game plans. Deep passes and long field goals are going to be tough. Run game is going to be key. Probably not the best time to lose your left tackle.

And it lessens the impact of them losing Adams.

Sure hope this guy knows what he's talking about.

Pete Prisco, CBS Sports: Seahawks 29, Rams 24

"This game will go a long way in deciding the NFC West. The Rams beat the Seahawks earlier this year, but Seattle turned it over four times in that game. They won't do that here. The Rams defense has been leaky lately, which is a concern. Sam Darnold struggled last week, and has struggled the last two times out against the Rams, but I think he plays better here. Seattle is the pick."

There isn't anyway these two teams put up over 50 points in this weather. Only way I see that happening is if there are a bunch of defensive scores or turnovers leaving really short fields.

Man I sure nailed that prediction.
Seems like the strong wind they were predicting never really materialized. Flags were hanging straight down on the field goal that their guy missed.

yeah pretty wild going from 6 field goals and no TDs to putting up 5 TDs and 3 2-point conversions five days later against a better defense.
