They have used five different safety combinations and now they have added Diggs. The team is an evolutionary process over the season. Pete is working at this stuff, he sees it too. Thats what i meant before, were they a playoff team at the beginning of the season, they may have had the record but its not going to be the same team at the end of the season that Pete began with in the beginning“He’s still battling, he’s still battling physically to get back to right,” coach Pete Carroll said Thursday. “He still hasn’t gained all his weight yet back. He’s still in the 250s. He is on a regimen to continue to get stronger and to keep working to get back to full go. The offseason took a big toll on him not being able to use his shoulder and not be able to run and do stuff that he needed to do.
“He’s still developing, it’s still a developmental campaign to get him back to full go.”
Ansah currently weighs in at 258 pounds and Carroll believes he needs to be around 270 to be more effective.
“He plays really hard,” Carroll said. “He’s smart and he does things right. I think that the production should show. It should show up. We’ll stay after it.”

and getting back to Ziggy, this sounds like it would be the beginning of the season but this is PC a week ago...

Ansah sucks. And weight isn't the problem...

Yeah, $9 mil and counting. That was a bad signing. A desperation type move. They didn't seem to understand where he was physically and how long it would likely take for him to get back to playing shape.

I just referenced that saying they could make Paper lion II about Statt Padford.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 3:26 amwas George Plimpton and "Paper Lion" before your time?...that was a big deal, a writer got the Lions to let him qb a series in a preseason game. It was a book and a movie. There was this big build up to it, when he finally played the three downs all he did was fall down. He claimed it was instinctual, he couldn't help it.

So it looks like right now the
4-3 or 3-4 DBs are Diggs, McDougald, Flowers, and Griffen
Nickle = Add Jamar Taylor
Dime = Add Marquise Blair
I wouldn't mind seeing in extreme pass situations something like Dime package plus DL Clowney, Jefferson, Reed
LBs Wagner or Kendricks and or Griffen
I kinda like the Cards use of a hybrid LB/DB Deone Bucannon.
The Bucannon of the Hawks might be Griffen.
What say you?

some moves don't work, its like picking stocks, its not going to be %100. Its a two fold process, first you put together the talent, and then you figure out how best to use it. Every team makes mistakes. I remember the quote about Belichick. It was after the Pats got hammered by the Chiefs on Monday night to open the season. It looked like he had screwed up his roster. Someone commented, Belichick the coach fixes the mistakes that Belichick the GM makes, and he did. Despite all the predictions of the dynasty being over, in a few weeks they were rolling again. I think PC has a knack for it too, I think that is why his second half teams tend to be better than the first half, he gets his talent squared away, figures out how to utilize it to its best advantage

Some sure did. Can't speak for Hindemith, but I know Pro hated this signing from the get go. I was optimistic. Not for a second did I think he would ever be anything than above average....but he is flat out terrible.Hanjag wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 5:40 amAnd you of course didSibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 4:27 amYeah, $9 mil and counting. Yep. Same here. I was definitely overly optimistic. Now he is being replaced with a guy my size with one less hand.Michael K. wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 8:38 pmSome sure did.
