Draft pick grades

Maybe there was a good reason why the majority of scouting reports had Collier going in the 3rd or 4th round. I'm so tired of Schneider's apparent need to to make waves with his first pick. The later rounds are where you are supposed to find hidden gems. He could have found a player that could contribute immediately with that pick and still drafted Collier with the picks he used on Barton or Jennings.

make waves?...hidden gem?...it was purely a need pick, which PCJS will do with their first pick, if you are trying to pick for need, that's not a big reach

We needed a player that was good more than a guy with DE after his name.

I don't know. Probably. But if Collier was the best DE available, they should have drafted for a different position of need, like Secondary or O-line.

Exactly. That is what happens when you draft for need. Draft BPA and sign or trade for DE like they did. We don't even need Collier now.

It doesn't work. But hey there are very successful in spite of it so better than the alternative of great first round picks and shitty teams.
