It's a good reminder how coach and front-office just says whatever during the offseason, "he's our guy going forward," and it doesn't mean anything.
I wonder if DK will last the weekend, and if they maybe sign Lockett back.

They say they are trying to trade him but they now have a lot more Cap space and if DK didn't like Geno that would be another reason.trharder wrote: ↑Sat Mar 08, 2025 12:57 amI was wondering the same thing, but I wouldn't bet on it.D-train wrote: ↑Sat Mar 08, 2025 12:52 amI bet DK stays now. Or DK wanted a trade because he knew Geno was leaving. Not that he loves Geno necessarily, but he might not want Howell or some rookie QB or the general mediocrity that's likely ahead.

Huge upgrade assuming we get Darnold, sure sounds like it from all accounts.
huge for retaining DK as well.

Re: Geno Traded to the Raiders!
Great!!! It would have doomed this team to 3-4 more years of mediocrity to keep him at QB. Not sure what the next few years has in store, if it will be any different or not, but we KNEW what years of Geno would have been. Definitely shows we were right to move on from Carroll too - what is he thinking? He has 3-5 years left to coach and he's giving himself ZERO chance to win a SB.

PFT says "all signs point to Darnold."

I'm not excited about Darnold, because of our O-line and the lack of Justin Jefferson.

Re: Geno Traded to the Raiders!
Anyone know what kind of O lines the Vikings had last year and the Raiders are likely to have this year. Because if Darnold comes here i'm guessing it could be an unpleasant transition for him. And for Geno it could be a pleasant one.
