What's especially irritating is that the Hawks had all the momentum, the D was beating the shit out of the Donkey offense (only 35 yards total offense in the second half and OT), and at least 95 times out of 100 you win that game. But Darnold said nah, ain't happenin' bro.

I still think that when Price and Charb are on the roster we'll be a lot better, but the only way we're taking the division and getting some home field is if the Whiners start having their annual injury stampede.

They are going to be 3 and 4 next Sunday. Sorry, the Division is over.

51 passes and 26 runs. In a game they lost in OT. Weird, I thought that was Grubb's issue?

McDonald fucked up the fleury hire. Wow.

Price is the only one held accountable on offense. Yet, he still has more rushing yards ths Holani.

The good will that several on this team thought they earned is wearing off fast. It's pathetic that Darnold can straight up lose ball games, and continue to just get trotted out there. It's pathetic that we can lose a game by a field goal and throw it twice as many times as we run it. You don't get to say anymore "the run game didn't work so they abandoned it", not when the entire reason they fired Grubb was because of that.

But how about this? We averaged 4.3 yards a fucking carry! Denver had five sacks, Sam scrambled twice (not nearly enough) and had 51 pass attempts. That is 58 pass plays to 24 run plays. Fucking inexcusable. Seriously. They hammered on the issue of the run game when Geno was the QB. Geno threw 15 INTs in in 17 games with Seattle. Yet they allow some fucking idiot to throw it all over the field when he has 7 picks in 4 games and one series of another? Fuck that. I'm unbelievable frustrated.

Fleury is over his head, but Bill Fucking Walsh couldn't run a functioning offense with Sam Darnold playing QB. The dude fooled the entire world for two years, but we now see why he sucked so bad to finish that season in Minnesota. It's because he sucks. Thanks for helping us win a ring, but sit the fuck down Ginger Turnover.

Yeah, came here basically to bring this up. For all the heat on Darnold I think fleury can be questioned as well. And it's not really complaining about Fleury as much as missing Kubiak. Fleury might be a decent OC but I think we are missing something. I think Kubiak wax something special, and that's why he's a HC now, and pretty much demonstrating his offensive abilities with the raiders. The Seahawks have been disappointing and the Raiders a surprise.

I think it could get to the issue you brought up with the MM hire, going with a defensive minded HC. It could be easier filling the HC position with an offensive minded coach and finding a DC than the other way around. Because if you do find a great OC they're getting poached for a HC position, which is exactly what happened. I think with Kubiak it was like having a pair of HCs.

Field Gulls is pondering on Fleury being one and done, which i find interesting since i consider them to have a pretty conservative point of view generally...
Brian Fleury might be a one-and-done coordinator but in a different way

I don’t fault Fleury for the running game not being effective with below-average running backs. I fault him when Emanuel Wilson is getting short-side tosses to the weaker side of the line. Know your damn personnel. Seattle’s passing game is disjointed for reasons that are not Darnold exclusive. How many times are receivers running routes to the same area? Why are the route combinations condensing the field and adding defenders into the mix instead of spreading them out? Why is 3rd and 1 WITH TIME ON YOUR SIDE an under-center straight dropback (which was an interception)? Why is it always taking so long to get the play call in?

First-time OC, first-time playcaller, it’s an unenviable task to succeed Klint Kubiak. Some of the cracks the offense showed last season are now canyon-sized holes this season, so it’s not like some of these issues are new. That they’ve gotten worse under Fleury is not favorable for him. I’m not in “Fire Fleury” mode but I think there’s been enough dysfunction to suggest he needs to turn it around just as much as anybody.
I was told all Fleury needed to do was run the same Seahawk offense out there this season, easy peasey. Not only isn't he seem to be doing that he doesn't seem to know what last seasons offense was. I'm particularly concerned about the offensive line. Kubiak seemed to have the ability to scheme in a way to elevate his personal, that seems to have regressed. I'm disappointed in this season as well as appreciating what Kubiak accomplished even more.

Interesting presser question for Fleury from Hawk Blogger. Does kinda remind me of Grubb

And again, look at the Eagles. They've been through three OCs since winning the SB? Pete repeating was an accomplishment. There the thing went stale more than talent getting picked off. The Chiefs really have been an incredible run. We will see how JSs sustainability approach holds up, it's tough

It's interesting that even with the awful play, they only lose by two to WAS, three to SF, then lose by 3 in OT to DEN. Imagine how those scores would look if SEA was actually playing smart football.

Fleury is not a decent OC, and he has proven that. He was also NOT qualified. You don't cut your death calling plays on a Super Bowl team. Just awful shit right here.

When MM was hired, I was glad. I never thought he was an option, so getting a bright young mind was great, IMO. Even though I had broken down all the crappy offenses run by mediocre OCs working for Defensive minded HCs. His hiring of Grubb instilled that in me. Obviously he wasn't going to be this boring guy if he went with the guy that ran Washington's offense. Kubiak was a great hire. I still feel they scapegoated Grubb, but? If I am not on the same page with my boss? I'm probably going to lose my job too.

Fleury is underqualified to coach offense, and GROSSLY underqualified to RUN the Offense.

Fleury has proven that he isn't ready, and Sam has proven that the last season, even though he was STILL a walking turnover? Was NOT who he is. Really too bad to waste this defense on such a fucked up pathetic offense.

We'd have won with Bo Nix. Think on that one. Check Down Charlie....they win with Defense and not putting their defense in a shitty spot. Take notes Seattle. Get the QB that doesn't lose the game for you. He was undefeated before you went back to the turnover king.

Yeah, they are only off a tick. Unfortunately, if you start stacking losses instead of wins, you end up as road kill.
I'm not sure what is worse, only being off a tick and not being able to step back up, or being total trash.

Of course there is plenty of blame to go around. I hear the Fleury criticism, and for all I know, he's horrible, but if you start
bringing Ryan Grubb back into the conversation, I can't take you seriously.
For me, I see it as you can only fix things piece by piece. I would start with Sam. I thought he looked shitty before he had any
picks. Put Drew Lock in for fucks sake. I'm not convinced Lock will do better, but I'm not seeing any fight from Sam. Just a victim.
