Yeah was surprised by that. Questionable to pick WRs that will be lucky to have the 1 reception that Ursua had last season..57reasons wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 3:42 amwhile i agree with the premise i dispute his conclusions. despite the tremendous qualify and depth of receivers in this class, i expect no more than 2 WR/TE's to be chosen, given:D-train wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 12:53 amI like Jake Heaps. Down to earth and doesn't have a goofy schtik like the clowns on the morning show. Seems he has found his post football calling. I haven't read this yet but looking forward to it tomorrow.

A. other more pressing needs
B. COVID-19 - lost offseason means less acclimation time for newcomers, which is particularly hurtful to receivers vs.
other positions, requiring precision timing sync with the QB.
C. Phillip Dorsett and Gregg Olsen is 2 new receivers to break in and acclimate to Russ already - see B above.

Say we draft 3 OL (in addition to the bevy of other OL we've already added). Do you honestly expect them all to make the team. Olsen's health is a concern to me & who knows with Dorsett. If he's legit great. I would gladly take another TE in a heartbeat & yes with the stockpile of talent at WR, we can afford to wait until day 2 or even day 3.

Peter King
27. Seattle—Yetur Gross-Matos, defensive end, Penn State
There’s not much of a chance Seattle sits and makes this pick, honestly; GM John Schneider has traded down in the first round eight straight years. I still think he could deal down, particularly if there’s a lesser-light big corner he likes available high in the second round. But I couldn’t find a logical dance partner for the Seahawks. My feeling is Seattle is doling out hope for Jadeveon Clowney in the $15-million-a-year range, or maybe Everson Griffen; they’re the kind of veteran rushers Seattle thinks are necessary in a high-powered NFC West. But Gross-Matos is a good alternative as a backfield disruptor.

CBS knows the Hawks well. Has them taking the 55th ranked prospect 27th. lol
Marlon Davidson DL
AUBURN • SR • 6'3" / 303 LBS
PROJECTED TEAM
Seattle
PROSPECT RNK
55th
POSITION RNK
5th
Davidson was overshadowed by Derrick Brown, but he can line up inside or out, though he's much better coming off the edge at this point in his career.

Nfl.com This one would make too much sense so no chance.
PICK
27
Joshua Jones - OT
School: Houston | Year: Senior (RS)
Beefing up the defensive line would make sense here, as well. However, Duane Brown is going into his 13th year (having missed four games last year) and the Seahawks reportedly gave Cedric Ogbuehi a one-year deal, so it's unlikely they consider him the long-term answer at right tackle.

If they pass on Cushenberry, Ruiz, Biadasz, Hansen, Johnson etc...and run with the quaint little battery of Finney and Hunt. I will absolutely lose my shit. They need to cine out if this draft with a Tackle and Center. Should be two Tackles actually.

I am seeing depth charts right now that actually show Pocic as the starter at Center!?

Pocic would certainly be a better option than Hunt at Center.Michael K. wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 7:05 pmI am seeing depth charts right now that actually show Pocic as the starter at Center!?
That's his natural position... Hawks did him no favors playing him elsewhere.
Re: Official 2020 NFL Draft thread
Only 91 snaps but Pocic had a 43.3 PFF rating last season.
Just another early round pick to throw on the bust pile.

Re: Official 2020 NFL Draft thread
I'll call him a bust once he plays center and fails.
In his college career he had 37 starts... 8 were at guard... 1 was at tackle... the rest center.
Why take him out of his natural position?
