Pretty hard to win without a solid DL. No sacks and no QB pressures. This team has a weak DL. Odd selections on day one. Cute though, our crew knows more than other teams.
Pete builds his defense from the back forward. I think guys are forgetting we added some very good players to the D Line before the draft. Carter was too big of a risk for their taste and they liked the CB. So do I. Was driving home from practice at the time, so had the radio on. Brock loved the pick.

And not sure what is cute about taking a WR. What DT did you have in mind worth the 20th pick? Many saying we now have the best receiving group in the League. Yeah, would sure suck to have the best CBS and WRs in the entire league. Not sure how either of these picks are reaches. Drafting LJ Collier, Rashaad Penny, Bruce Irvin and Germain Ifedi early because we felt we needed guys at those positions was the wrong move. I don’t feel we made a mistake yesterday.

Neither does this guy.

Absolutely. If things just work out as they should (no Aaron Curry or Malik McDowell crap), then we will have the best defensive backfield in the NFL, bar none, and one of the top WR trios in the league.

There are still holes, but I've been preaching all offseason that those holes are likely addressed day 2. That's today, folks. We got the centerpiece and dessert yesterday, today we get the beef and taters (hopefully). I think we get one of the top 2 centers and/or a top 2 guard, and a very good DL, RB or ILB.

I think there's a good chance we get JMS and might snag Torrence, too. Which would mean 3, maybe 4 players rated as the best at their position in the draft. That's pretty damn good.

Looking at the Hawks depth chart they have 1 SS, 1 NT, 1 LDE and 1 Center in Joey Hunt on the roster. And they only have 2 RBs.

It is pretty cool to see our WR depth chart with JSN added.
I think you re looking at an old depth chart. They signed Evan Brown at center and they signed Jarran Reed as a defensive tackle to go along with Mone.

They signed Brown to be the center didn't they? And they brought back Jarron Reed as a DT.
I like Jones too. It’s not that we have no D Line. We could use some depth, but not with first round picks. Again, unless you are sold on Carter, which I am not, who did we pass on that would have improved our interior D Line?

Breesse and kancey would have been great but I feel like there is not much of a drop off from them to the some of guys that are still left like Ika, Benton and Dexter

ESPN has Brown slotted as a guard. A guard with center experience

Yeah they probably update them once a year or something the one on the Hawks website had no centers. Some intern needs to get "released". lol

They could still bring back Poona Ford on a cheap 1-year deal. And if the Seahawks grab a TE at some point, could potentially trade Noah Fant. That would save over $6M in cap space.

And isn't that why Schneider signed Dre'mont Jones and Reed because he knew options would be slim at DL?
