Yes, I am good with that.HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 8:32 pmAppearances are just that appearances. Marv Levy got Buffalo to 4, count'em 4 Super Bowls didn't win one. Pete has 1 count it 1 single UNO playoff win in 7 straight seasons but your good with that. I'm sorry but if your a true fan you demand greatness & greatness means playing in late January/early February. 1 single win, one. Should tell you all you need to know.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 8:15 pmSeems odd to be rejoicing and dancing in the hallways over moving on from the guy who has brought one of 2 major championships to what is probably the worst major city in the US when it comes to success in that arena.
Carroll has led the Hawks to 11 winning seasons in the past 14 years, including 10 playoff appearances.
He is the best coach in the history of professional sports in the NW and it's not even close.
I'd say respect is due.
The grass is not always greener and we as Seahawk, Mariner, and Sonic fans should know that.
1. Your defense sucked
2. You don't have a franchise QB
3. You fail to adapt to new ideas
He's very predictable but the constant affirmation that he got us to the playoffs is good enough for you. Honestly some of you "fans" make me laugh. Now don't get it twisted doesn't mean I don't love Pete I do, at some point your message does tend to fall on deaf ears. If your not trying to win then you don't deserve to call yourself an NFL Head Coach.
It's fun to watch your team be competitive during a regular season... playoffs are icing on the cake and if you're lucky enough to win a SB, let alone make it to 2 of them, holy shit... you've won the lottery.
During Pete's tenure... the 49ers finished 5-11, 2-14, 6-10, 4-12, 6-10... with 3 of those seasons under Mike Shanahan. They might not admit it, but having your season be over by week 8 sure isn't fun. I lived with a Niners fan during one of those seasons and he was miserable and jealous as hell of the Hawks.
I'm hopeful the new regime brings the same level of consistency to winning... and it was likely time for Pete to move on. But celebrating it is wild.

Johnson would interest me, but doesn't have the track record that Bienemy does. I can't get behind Harbaugh....even if the last time we hired a cheater from college it worked out.HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 8:35 pmDT who's on your shortlist for names. Does Harbaugh or Ben Johnson make the cut. I know people wanna clown on Jim but you gotta admire what he brings. Definitely not opposed to Quinn but my preference would be Ben or Jim. I'm just in a state of complete shock right now still trying to process this.

Sorry but wanting to continue on the Ground Hogs day Merry Go Round because you are AFRAID of a losing season or two is weak AF. Guess what I am a Mariner fan I can TAKE IT for the chance to have an elite NFL team again. Something that there was negative infinity chance PC was ever going to do again.
Thank you for your service Pete and enjoy your semi retirement!

Bienemy has no track record just like Johnson. I would go Ben before Bienemy but wouldn't be upset. How exactly did Harbaugh himself cheat?Michael K. wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 8:45 pmJohnson would interest me, but doesn't have the track record that Bienemy does. It isn't celebrating the firing of Pete it is celebrating renewed hope for the future.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 8:41 pmYes, I am good with that.HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 8:32 pmAppearances are just that appearances. Re: Breaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pete is Canned!!!!!!!!!!!!
We can embrace losing but that doesn't mean there is an elite team anywhere close. It's really gonna come down to a QB. That might get solved quickly or just drag on
Re: Breaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pete is Canned!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, Johnson looks great to me. Guessing he will be an option if they just don't hand it to Quinn, which they shouldn't.HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 8:35 pmDT who's on your shortlist for names. It was likely time for Pete to move on. But I'm not holding my breath on the success.
It was a unique cultural shift that brought success to the Seahawks in Seattle.
I'm not convinced that's repeatable and I am convinced it's sort of necessary.
