We can’t have another Knight at LB. Be to confusing! Haha.

On that note, is this draft deep enough to get excited about adding the many picks to move back?
The draft is supposed to be stacked with Edge and DT talent, but also have a lot of day 2 type of prospects at WR, TE, and OG (if you include OTs thst can move inside). It is expected that OTs and CBs will lead in the tally of day 1 picks. That would seem to indicate that trading back for additional day 2 picks may be the best approach for the Seahawks, unless an elite prospect at a position of need is still there at 18.

You can handle it!
Mariners have 2 each of Julio Rodriguez and Luis Castillo in their system......

If Schneider can move down from 18 to mid 20's and gain another pick in the 80's, I think it would be beneficial.
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!

Kinda interesting
After trading away Smith and Metcalf, the Seahawks have five top-100 picks with which to work: Nos. 18, 50, 52, 82 and 92. By Chase Stuart's draft chart, they have the eighth-most draft capital of any team, giving them all kinds of flexibility. They're the only one of the top 13 teams by draft capital to post a winning record last season, so they're closer to being competitive than most of the teams that have significant capital heading into April

And if John trades back he could load up on day 2 picks...

To be competitive now, they need from Darnold what he did for 16 games last year. If they get game 17 or playoff Darnold? If they get the Darnold from the years he wasn't in Minnesota? They aren't going to be competitive.

Yeah, it's not the same team as last season, or is Darnold with the same team either, gonna be interesting

With the current O line and WRs i don't see much hope of Darnold doing what he did in MIN.

That is my point. Simply pointing out the draft picks they have, in comparison to other teams that finished the way they did last year, and then saying they are positioned well? Is completely missing the point, and neglecting the importance of the QB and O Line positions...and as SH pointed out? The reduction in talent at WR.

There seems to be a cluster of OG prospects projected as late 1st round to early 2nd round picks. This includes...

Grey Zabel
Tyler Booker
Josh Conerly
Wyatt Milum
Jonah Savaiinaea

with the following as late 2nd to early 3rd round...

Marcus Mbow
Donovan Jackson
Tate Ratledge

It would seem to me that John could trade back 10 spots and still have plenty of good options at OG. Moving from 18 to 28 is equal to the 70th overall pick using the JJ trade value chart. Trade back to 32 and that is equal to the 59th overall pick. All the way to 42 is worth the 48th pick. Seems worthwhile.

Unless someone special drops to 18...
