There was a free defender coming right in his face in a direct line with Metcalf. It would have been a special ply to see him getting open right behind that and stand in there and take a shot. The more I watch the play I think Peters just made a really good deek to the point where Wilson thought he had bailed. Peters guessed right and timed his break perfectly. It happens.

Yeah, that was what I was referring to. It is going to happen, but if that play had been designed to go to DK, we score and it is a 14 point swing. Changes everything. And, like I said, I thought that even though we threw it more than normal, we got pretty conservative after that.

Very rare for a play to be designed to go to one player. Wilson just F'd up. Only time this year.

I meant if DK was his first read. Seems Russ felt pressure and got rid of it before he had a chance to look left. Not saying it isn't a mistake, but if DK was the primary target we score on that play.

No one is bitching per se. It's just remarkable how different that game could have been with one play.
