Guessing Hurrt and Waldron are gone as well. Can't wait for the fresh start and breathe of fresh air instead of going with definition of insanity AGAIN.
DT who's on your shortlist for names. Does Harbaugh or Ben Johnson make the cut. I know people wanna clown on Jim but you gotta admire what he brings. Definitely not opposed to Quinn but my preference would be Ben or Jim. I'm just in a state of complete shock right now still trying to process this.
Yeah, Johnson looks great to me. Guessing he will be an option if they just don't hand it to Quinn, which they shouldn't.

Should they go for experience like with Quinn or somebody completely new like a Johnson or Bieniemy. I wouldn't be mad with Quinn but would ultimately prefer a offensive minded guy. Defense needs toughness can Quinn or even a Vrabel bring that same level of toughness on defense.

Bienemy has no track record just like Johnson. I would go Ben before Bienemy but wouldn't be upset. How exactly did Harbaugh himself cheat?
I buy that Harbaugh didn't know about as much as I buy that Payton didn't know his DC was offering bounties for injured offensive players. You think he was suspended six games, in which his team won all six by the way, because there is ZERO proof that Harbaugh did anything wrong? I suppose you believed Brady didn't deflate balls and wiped his phone for no reason and that Belichick didn't know they were filming practices too?

That fucking Michigan team sure can. I was amazed how many times I thought we had a great play going and they would bring one of our guys down one on one. That was my beef with the Husky and Seahawk defenses a lot this year. The first guy seemed to NEVER make the tackle, especially in open space.

It isn't celebrating the firing of Pete it is celebrating renewed hope for the future.
The leading candidate to replace him has a 43-42 record as a head coach. forgive me for not doing cartwheels over this "renewed hope"

Can you imagine how everyone would lose their minds if they made Waldron the head coach?

Johnson would interest me, but doesn't have the track record that Bienemy does. I can't get behind Harbaugh....even if the last time we hired a cheater from college it worked out.

Harbaugh was suspended six games in 2023. He was suspended three at the start of the season as a result of a punishment handed down due to impermissible recruiting and coaching infractions from several seasons ago. Then he faced another three-game suspension to close out the regular season as the result of the sign-stealing scandal.

It's the NCAA, you buy a kid a $1 candy bar that's considered a violation. Not saying what he/they did was justified but it also shouldn't disqualify him from getting consideration for another head coaching job. I would absolutely take him. Again I would love offense but wouldn't be upset with a Vrabel or Quinn. Like I say I just want straight toughness & aggressiveness on defense.
