That ATL-WAS game was a killer for me. I felt it was going to be a close game with the Commanders maybe having a let-down after the big win against PHI last week and the Falcons playing well lately. I also saw it as a good opportunity to make up ground since almost everyone here is going with the oddsmakers or consensus favorite on CBSports. So of course i lose in the closest possible game result. And the farther i fall behind, the more i have to follow this strategy. So far i'm losing almost every upset pick i make, usually in games decided by less than 7 points.

Don't feel bad. I tried the same strategy a few weeks I picked the Jets or the Giants as upsets just to catch up with these guys in the pool.
I'm still 90 points down with a week to go. It's just for fun. Dtrain's picks have been pretty impressive I must say considering he missed one or two weeks there. The system is not perfect but competitive. What's up Ben!?!?! You're right there also brother!

I don't think DT is the one that missed one or two weeks. I mean, he did, but he just missed his picks, didn't miss making his picks!

He had trouble assigning points this week, and thanks to that he was at 31 points after two games! So? Hard to complain.

That stuff usually evens out. At one point this week, I was perfect in my picks, and was behind three or four guys that had missed games. It's all about hitting the right one. This week those games weren't as impactful. At least not so far. Only two people missed Cincy over Denver, and one of them is in first place! Mostly because even though everyone lost the Indy game? He only had 4 points on Indy. Only two people picked Vegas to win, yet one of those guys is in 8th place! I think that is kind of what makes it fun.
