Seens to beg the question, then why is he playing? Nobody seems to be able take his job. I don't defend Bradford, i don't know a thing about offensive line play, and i don't think much of pff. My opinion is based on MM continuing to play him. I will defend MMs judgment, Anthony Bradford was the starting right guard on a SB winning team. let's see if they bother to make Stephens active. Actually Haynes was, didn't have snap other than STs
The whole thing seems rather mysterious. The coaches must be seeing something that the rest of us aren't.

I guess in my mind I view MM success with Bradford as an indictment of the PFF process rather than PFFs process an indictment of MM

Seems like as Seattle fans we've been having to deal with regression, ie Cal and perhaps Myers now. I saw a thing on Matt Stafford. It was pointing out there was a fair amount of luck involved in his performance last season. In terms of the quality of his passes his interception rate should have been fairly signifcanitly higher. There should be an element of regression there. And i would think in terms of his age and injury history as well. For all the additions to their defense there could be some regression with the Rams offense
To get back to the original post of the thread. I've been seeing a lot of concern with how Stafford looked in Australia. Article in Turf Show Times speculating we could be seeing Ty Simpson this season. Fuck Staffords two year contract, regression can be a bitch. And on top of that, their defense didn't look that hot either. You can add talent but the key is process, ask MM about that

Good teams can have bad players. Don't know what's so hard to grasp about that.

So what's the issue? MM doesn't seem concerned so why should we be?

How do you know he isn't. It's not like he's going to call out his players. His approach seems to be to try to build up their confidence but privately he might be a bit perturbed.

Perhaps they're trying to build Bradford up and then trade him. They fleeced DEN with the Wilson trade. JS may have something in the works.

How do I know? I have not seen a tiny bit of evidence he isn't. They haven't even tried to bring in competition for his position. They drafted a guard and from the first day of training camp made the position Bradford's. When MM makes Stephens active we can have something to point at.

This in my mind is what it's about, look at the line, the entire thing with 100% of the snaps. It's a good functioning line that operates as a unit. It wins football games. I honestly have zero interest in pff trying to grade individual players on it. I have no interest at all. I leave it to MM to let me knows how he feels. That would come with his giving another guard snaps.

Look at football in general. The Rams add stars, an all pro CB, the defensive player of the year. What does MM do? He adds players from his practice squad, guys that were there because he could get them on waivers. And it's MMs defense that kicks ass. It's what I keep saying. This is about a system and finding players that fit it. PFF can be fun but when it comes to actual football it's MM I will turn to when it comes to judging talent.

Maybe later in the season they will work Stephens in. At this point they don't seem interested
