27-24? Yeah, this game never really felt that close at all. If DK doesn't fumble and Ifedi doesn't bumble, and the refs don't offer up constant training wheels to prop up SF, this is a one sided affair. Didn't it feel that way? I never thought SF looked that formidable at all. Seattle punched them on the mouth the whole game.
This team feels like it's on the verge of really exploding - and I mean like that three game stretch of 58-0, 50-17 and 42-13 (against the 9ers, too!) blow outs and established themselves as a team to be feared back in 2012. This team feels a little different, but it feels like they are on the verge of a hot streak.
has the defense we've been waiting for all season finally arrived?
The MVP of the game was Clowney. I thought that was common knowledge

The game did feel close to me. I get the BS officiating. But seriously all they had to do is make one more FG and 9ers win. That's a lot closer than I care to deal with. I completely lost my shit when in rapid succession both our veteran LBs drop picks that could of ended the game. I seriously lost it. I do agree the 49ers didn't look near as fearsome as advertised.
I've been waiting for the hot streak you speak of for a few years now. If we see it, we know we've arrived. Otherwise, this win served notice anyway with all it's warts. The thing I love about the Seahawks, ever since Pete arrived, is I know we can beat any team in the league on any given Sunday. It wasn't that way before Pete.
The defense arrived last night. You can't argue that. I have no idea what the defense will look like in two weeks.
