If he misses significant time he is an idiot because they aren't going to break precedent. He could easily cost himself future earnings which is much more significant than the time value of money on a small % of his bonus.

Which is why I'm not concerned
"He's not here today," Carroll told reporters Wednesday. "He knows everything he needs to know. I can't imagine he won't be here very soon."

Knows everything he needs to know? What does that mean?

I'm guessing he is referring to the work they did in the off season

I was thinking he knows that they aren't going to make an exception and that missing time at camp will be detrimental to his career.

Its ironic given the kid was a ZERO star recruit out of HS and suddenly the 5th overall draft pick and now wants all his money NOW!

The three quarterbacks taken ahead of Witherspoon in April - Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud and Anthony Richardson - reportedly received 100% of their signing bonuses up front. Outside linebacker Will Anderson Jr., the third overall pick, received an 85%/15% split with his bonus with the Houston Texans.
He did participate in the off season without a contract

Guess Schneider isn't that much of a contract wizard if he's too cash-strapped to pay his top pick. Whole situation is just lame and embarrassing.
