Candotta seems to think they are considering Arron Rogers, that be pretty cool, except for the line
More proof Condotta is dumb as fuck.
For doing his job? Okay
If his job is to throw out impossibly stupid takes, then I guess you're right.
Rogers is toast. That's obvious even if you like his personality. I like Rogers as a smart ass disrupter of
bull shit liberal narratives. I'm on his team there, but he was on TV a lot last year. He will quit his team
as soon as things go south. As soon as he gets that sour look on his face, the game is over if he's your QB.
There's no way JS is considering him.

His Job is to report, it''s not his take, it's what he says he's hearing, if it is okay

I don't have a problem with Rogers for a season, other than the line he'd have to work behind. I don't know what the big deal is. They are going to need a QB

Most likely what would prevent it from happening would be if Rogers lacks confidence that the O line will be fixed and that DK will be here. From the Seahawks' perspective it would probably be about limits to the length and amount of the deal and concern about him trying to exert influence over personnel decisions like he did in NY.

Another is that he looked to be totally cooked when we played them last year.

Geno has one good season at age 33 and it fuels a good bulk of insane people to want to pay him $40M a year 2 years later when he's come off of 2x mediocre seasons. They blame the offensive line for his shortfalls despite the fact that outside of that one good season he's largely been trash. AND he's thirty fuckin' five.

But people are bemoaning the fact that the Hawks are interested in Sam Darnold who is 28 and coming off a better season than Geno Smith has ever had. Darnold was drafted young at 21 no. 3 overall by the same dogshit franchise Geno was and somehow people think he doesn't have a higher ceiling than a 35 year old who sort of figured it out after 10+ years in the league    I mean wtf.

You want to watch a clinic on how to move in a pocket? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOr5QrQ0sGk <- watch Darnold absolutely demolish the Hawks D. Geno's feel in the pocket is ultimately why he's mid. The best part about Darnold is he gets rid of the fuckin' ball.

And did I read in here that people think Darnold is a pure passer who can't run? LOL The guy was literally drafted for his running ability in college. Is well known for his pocket mobility.

Who saw that coming?
I actually thought about it with the Pete connection but never said anything.
It was being speculated about in the media. I'd say it's a given Lockett signs there now, I'm wondering about Bobby
Bobby already re-signed with Washington....that might be a spot for Lockett

Okay, yeah that's a pretty good deal there, I'm a commanders fan

Geno's QBR in 2022 was 62.8. Darnold's QBR last year was 60.4. The reason Darnold's quarterback Rating was higher (102.5 to 100.9) is that he had a better supporting cast. Put him in Seattle's 2024 offense and i'd bet he does worse than Geno.

Great.

He's 28 with a career ahead of him. He just dropped a 35TD/12INT season AT 27. He's in his prime.

Not some geezer who fans have a weird cult obsession with that throws tantrums on the sidelines and thinks he's worth far more than he is.

Is there any chance at all in your mind that the offense was also limited by Geno's limitations? Of which there are MANY.

Also, Geno had a quarterback rating of 93.2... not 100.9. He was 20th in the league.

Also, why are we talking like Darnold had the league's best offensive line in front of him? Only the Patriots allowed a higher pressure % on the QB than Minnesota.

In their playoff loss to the Rams, Darnold was pressured 27 times, sacked 9, and 6 of those sacks were solely on the OL.

Is Jefferson a great wideout? Absolutely. Was everyone warning to not draft Minnesota wideouts before the season b/c the Vikings offense was going to suck with Darnold? Well, he sure shut a lot of people up.
