Demeco Ryans was the Defensive Quality Control Coach for the Niners in 2017. I bet Houston wishes they hadn't give this guy a shot before he went to college and cut his teeth for a few years right?
John Harbaugh was an assistent in Philly for ten years before taking the job in Baltimore. Ravens should have hired a guy that was a head coach first right?
McDermot was an Assistant in Philly from 1999 before taking the DC job in Carolina in 2011. Was there until 2017 when he went to Buffalo. Zero head coaching experience. Buffalo probably wishes they had hired a guy who had been a head coach first then failed right?
Zac Taylor was never a HC before. He took the Bengals to the Super Bowl in his third year.
Kevin Stafansky has never been a HC before. He is taking the Browns to the playoffs despite needing Joe Flacco to come out of retirement and be what, the fourth QB they have started? Oh, and lost Nick Chubb in like week five! They should have hired a retred or a college guy. Stupid.
Dan Campbell has only a short stint as Miami's interim HC in 2015. Five years later he takes a floundering Lions team in two seasons to a winning record and a Division Title and the playoffs in his third season. I am sure they wish they had hired someone else right? More experience? A head college coach or a retred?
Matt LaFleur had never been a head coach before taking over in Green Bay. They won three straight division titles, played in two NFCCGs and made the playoffs in four of the five years he has coached. So stupid, you have to have experience...don't they know that?
Shane Steichen has never been a head coach. The Colts missed went 9-8 after a disastrous year last year.
We all know about McVey. Too bad for us the Rams didn't hire some retred or a boring old college coach.
Mike McDaniel is 20 - 14 and making his second playoff appearance in his 2nd year of coaching. The Dolphins hadn't been to the playoffs since 2016 before he came aboard.
The jury is still out on Kevin O'Connell, but how many QBs did they play this year? In his first year ever as a HC the Vikings went 13-4 and won the division. Zimmer did pretty well there too though. Oh, Mike Zimmer had never been a HC before taking over the Vikings and going 72 - 56.

What about Jim Harbaugh's career makes you believe it would be successful? Yes, I know what we will get. A fucking weirdo with a history of conflict. I've never made any bones about being a bigger Husky fan than a Seahawks fan. I just love college football. Just effing love it. Can't stand that there is no more Pac 12, but am also sick and tired of the ass hats responsible aciing like victims. The Presidents and the idiot they hired to run the Conference got greedy, so fuck off with this shit about how Apple TV would have been great. You turned down over 30 million per school...and offer the Big 12 gladly took. Guess what? The Big 12 is still in business too, despite losing OK and Texas!

So, while I sidetracked. That statement hit me in the feels. The worst thing about college football is the finality of it all. There are a ton of guys on that team I loved to watch, and they will never be there again. It reminds me of the year after 2016. That secondary left, Danny Shelton was gone, several big time dudes on defense. I was excited for the next year, but couldn't help but fear for the future. That is where I am now. Had sure hoped Polk would stick around. Worried about the QB position. Worried that even if Johnson stays there isn't enough depth at RB. Worried that our run defense has been exposed at the exact wrong time, as we enter the Big 10.

But one thing I am not worried about, at this moment, is KDB. I sure hope we can keep him around for a very long time. After 2016 I felt this job would be a destination again. Then it was just handed to that fraud Jimmy Lake, and I remember how much hand ringing there was over the DeBoer hire. I liked it. It was the Anti Jimmy. It was even the Anti CP, in a way. CP came here and completely changed. Besides the one year that Tedford was here to hold John Smith's hand? Our offense was so fucking boring. Then Lake hires John Fucking Donovan and shows up wearing a Run the Damn Ball hat, and we got two years of Dylon Morris at QB! Please, for the love of all that is holy, back up the Brinks Truck and keep KDB here. I can't go through that again!
