Also, Geno had a quarterback rating of 93.2... not 100.9. He was 20th in the league.
The 100.9 was Geno's rating in 2022. We were comparing Darnold's season last year to Geno's best season which was 2022.

Only on Marinertalk.com can you have a conservative defending Geno and a Lib happy is gone. That doesn't exist on X. Truly a magical place.

I'm happy Geno is gone because he's a mediocre QB who paying him would only deepen the hole away from contention that Seattle currently finds themselves in. I want to win. He is not a winner.

I could care less about his skin color, political affiliations, whatever the fk.

"I want Geno to be here," Macdonald said on Jan. 7. "I think he's a heck of a player ... I feel like Geno's the best for the team right now. I'll be involved with it. Ultimately, it's not my decision. It's a Seahawks decision, but Geno knows how we feel about him, and we love him as our starting quarterback, for sure."

I guess Schneider thought otherwise.

I posted JS's quotes and everyone scoffed. So obvious they were moving on.

The QB situation just got a whole lot more interesting.

They've talked about getting better in the trenches, so maybe they use the money to load up the o-line and roll with Howell this season while maybe drafting Dart? The idea of taking Geno's money and handing it to Darnold sounds more risky than rewarding.

Risky is rolling Howell out every week, not Darnold. But even if they do sign Darnold, i could see taking Dart at pick 50 if he's still on the board. not first round though.

They loved Geno at $38mill and traded him at $45mill
